The problems is I bet there are more posts on this forum on Lebron than Hakeem.

I know I have heard more lebron talk than rockets talk on sports radio recently.

In a red-blooded man's world, rivals circle jerk each other.

Nice for him to show up for a quarter and a half in game 2. And he was the reason they lost games 3/4. And he was a ghost for 2.5 quarters in game 5. How about just be consistent? A start is supposed to be consistent right?

You don't have to get sensitive about it, unless you fall into the party I was referring to like RocketPride, goodbug, kubli9, or Skip Bayless who tend to go overboard with it or overly nit-pick this guy. Which I don't care or mind?

You know it's the same level of team rivalry hate for the Mavs, Jazz, or etc. Alot of these things are becoming unrelated to the game towards LeBron. Not necessarily on this board, but some people really hate this guy. Realistically, I don't see the point of it.

Honestly, don't care, if you fall into party. It's one thing to dislike a team or player, but to henpeckin another grown man, like those four. Is a little unusual.

If you take it personally, that's your problem.

Nothing to do with basketball and are slight personal attacks. You see the difference in your comments vs. these other comments. That's not manly at all who cares what he does. Cleveland was an awful basketball franchise. They put so much stock into one player and didn't find the right pieces. It happens

All is fair in love and war.

This happened to years ago and people are still getting on this guy's case.

Lebron and Wade are maddeningly immature and I don't want to see Wade and his team of mercenaries win a ring until they're split up and they do it like real men - with pride in their city and beating the odds.

But the reason Lebron threads spin into 100,000 posts is because some people are on a witch-hunt for Lebron haters... there is always some vigilante who wants to start a personal battle and start questioning another poster's motives. "You only hate Lebron for off-the-court reasons, and you're not allowed to do that."

And then the inevitable m0ran who starts a spin-off thread saying "I don't get why people don't like Lebron?"

Hmm I clearly remember him making a layup to cut it 2. Anyway, A_3PO's post is a good assessment of what's going on minus Bosh and how it affects Lebron/Wade.

It's weird that he's so divisive. I mean, we're talking about sports here, not abortion, race relations, tipping, or republicans and democrats.

Personally, if I don't have a team in the race (an annual occurrence for us Rocket fans...), I enjoy the games more if there's a villain. LeBron and the heat are perfect villains.

plutoblue, you know everything is exaggerated on the internet. Still not sure what the problem is. He's a public figure. Criticism comes with the territory.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't care what us nerds think of him so I'm not sure why you and sammy do.

It is kind of fascinating how The Decision and The Heat Welcoming Party were able to create one of the most divisive sports teams in history. Maybe the most divisive team in history...?

I don't even like Lebron, but these reasons for disliking the guy are ridiculous. The hatred for him, though is making me more of fan of his.

    1. I don't want to see Wade and his team of mercenaries win a ring until they're split up and they do it like real men - with pride in their city and beating the odds. - You realize how many players have left their original teams for more money, more fame, and better chance to win championships (even playing for less money to do so). Often too many. Why are we focusing so much on the superstars and not the teams. The teams are the ones who build championship squads, not superstars. Superstars do carry the bigger load, but you can only go as far as a franchise can take you. MJ didn't win anything in his first few seasons, because his team wasn't good enough and supporting cast wasn't there. While I am going to pretend in the 1980s, that most good players or aging great players did not try to go an run to LA or Boston.

Pride of the city - Whocares, where do we live? In the land of Oz. It's ok when teams release or trade a great player, like Peyton Manning (ironically Irsey didn't get as much hate with this one), Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Charles Barkley, or etc. It's just business. If a player leaves his home through free agency or has expressed he wants a better shot at winning a championship. Players will sometimes be more highly criticized than management. I'll never understand that. At the end of the day, it's all business. You play for a city, as most player almost never belong to a city. Team managements tend to make players remember that once they are in decline or going through hardship.

Wade and LeBron being immature, I can agree somewhat, but at the same time . . . both players play very hard and bringing it every night. What happened 2010, outside of the Decision. I do not see what the big deal was about that. I do not see the difference in players colluding to make plans to go to a particular team versus a GMs doing. It seems like a double standard. Most of all, the team's #1 priority is profit. I don't care what people say about pride this or that, or competition. If a team is not selling seats or generating any kind of buzz. It's a lost venture.

I'd trade the whole Rockets squad and management for Wade or Lebron and Bosh, easily. I would take that over unrealistically hoping Motiejunas, Morris, and Patterson will become future NBA all-stars as the Rockets somehow out of a magician's hat ends with Dwight Howard.

As sad the Heat look right now, the Rockets are stuck in the middle of irrelevant island that no one would care about, if it disappeared off the map.

Its been 2 years and people still dont get it...or they are just pretending to not know the reason why Lebron's been so hated by many fans.

    Lets picture the folowing scenario.

Guy's been going out with a girl for a few years, at some stage they were so close to get married, but things didnt quite work out. Guy's been thinking about moving on.

Fine, so instead of telling the girl straight up as a grownup, this guy threw a party, invited all the friends and families, introduced his new girlfriend during the party while his ex watched the whole thing.

Tell me you don't hate him because he pays his taxes, mow his lawn and don't abuse cats.

It's actually easier to root for him bc of all this garbage. It has been repeated over and over. He made mistakes. I guess most people will never get over it.

It's going to be a bloodbath if they lose game 6 and awfully quiet if they win bc they'll probably be heading back to the Finals.

That's easy to say, but look at what happened to Cleveland after he left. You hear people beyond the internet expressing their dislike for LeBron on subways, in arenas, and on random street corners. Some people genuinely hate the guy, this is beyond Clutch fans or even a mild internet site. People do seem to kind of nit-pick and henpeck at him over things that aren't necessarily related to basketball.
