Ellis may be a better scorer, but Jones is a better defender. Led the league in steals in the 1999-2000 season, named to the All-Defensive 2nd Team, and the All-NBA 3rd Team. Still managed to average 20 points as well. It's quite a toss-up, depending on what you're looking for. Perhaps Ellis is, but that cannot make up for the loss in nearly all categories I'll give up if I traded away Barry for Monroe.

I agree.. i also dont think a-trains 5bpg is anything to shake a stick at... i think that was my biggest slip up of the draft... i believe he was there when i selected yao but i missed him in my evaluations of whos available... plus i was going for popuparity and namesake for voting purposes... my team would be significantly better with artis instead of yao...
