I still say the key to beating OKC is to dog the dickens out of Westbrook all 94 feet, dog him all over the floor and force him into turnovers and bad decisions.

Hopefully OKC learns from this game. They almost lost a sure thing do to some terrible decisions. When your playing any team at this level they are VERY good. You have to play hard and smart for 48 minutes.....not 47, not 46. That is what it takes to get it done.

Luckily they escaped. I doubt they make that mistake again.

Spurs still are not dead but OKC has to finish strong.

Westbrook played really well until that last stretch.

    ^^^This.

Westbrick has the tools to be great, but man he was a bone head down the stretch. Lucky for OKC that they have Durant and Harden to keep the train on the track.

A good 1st half destroyed by a bad 2nd half.

The whole game was freaky. The 2 early fouls on Serge, the Spurs missing a chance to blow out to a big early lead, then OKC taking over and missing a chance to have a giant halftime lead. Then the Spurs roar back like champs, OKC's offense goes completely in the tank. History says when their offense goes to junk in the 2nd half, they don't recover. Not only do they recover, they dominate and take over the game highlighted by Harden's 4-point play. Then WB's TOs and bricks let the Spurs back in the game. Then Scott Brooks actually accepts that KD doesn't have to have the ball and Harden nails another dagger. Then the TO from Thabo and finally KD ends it on FTs.

IMO, the nail-biter was the best case scenario for OKC. It wore out the Spurs to the max and winning this close should keep the youngsters humble for game 6.

I'm not sure... But I have been rooting for OKC to win the west. Scott Brooks was a great Rocket point guard for us.

I just think they will give Miami fits in the finals and I think they can beat Miami... that would be the great.

If Boston wins then OKC is a better young team, but the fight for the championship will be a slight favor for Boston

Just a few games ago people were talking about how San Antonio was putting on a Clinic of pick and rolls... OKC was having a bad game and the Refs helped that to happen

One team from the East.. One team from the West.

Go Rockets.. one day we all hope you are the West team... thats all..

You can't dog the dickens out any NBA PG for 94-feet more than a few minutes at time. Doesn't work.

With this win ...everyone has to give credit to OKC coach Scott Brooks.

The Dude is a good coach

Doesn't work for more than 2-3 minutes at a time. There is a reason you don't see teams do it often.

the numerous role players of the spurs have been playing like trash the past 3 games. And I'm sure they will not step it either in game 6 at OKC, so I don't see the Spurs advancing past this round now :(

Spurs best lineup in this series:

    Parker
    Manu
    SJax
    Duncan
    Bonner

This group needs to play together for 30 minutes and down the stretch in game 6.

That "elbow" foul that Parker got from Westbrook because Parker gave him no air space was silly.

Overall, the Thunder got lucky to hold on and Westbrook was very good for 3 quarters. The 4th quarter he was terrible.

It does work on Westbrook. You keep running multiple defenders to cover him 94 feet. They get tired after 3 minutes, run a different defender out there to run him around 94 feet.

Spurs bench really let them down. Neal was really really awful. Danny Green shoulda played more IMO

The pg matchup in this series has been one big letdown.

Agree except for Bonner. I'd give Leonard another chance because he can contribute things other than set shot 3-pointers. Tonight for example. Bonner is just too easy to guard.

Bonner will get abused on defense if you run that lineup. I don't see OKC losing a close out game at home with that crowd behind them.
