Enjoy another year at Stanford, Mark. Also enjoy being taken later next year in a much better draft.

All of them, except Seager, could be there by 41. Seager went 18th to the Dodgers.

At 41, I like J.O. (Jose Orlando) Berrios. This is a repost from earlier.

    Perfect Game

Keith Law is pretty high on Virant. 6'3", 172. Low-90s fastball, but that should pick up once he fills out. Throws a changeup, curve, and slider. Change and breaking ball have plus potential. UCLA commit, hearing it could be a bit challenging to get him out of it.

    Scouting Report on Smoral

A little rawer than Max Fried, but if Smoral adds velocity and his off-speed stuff progresses, he might have frontline potential.

Watson looks intriguing. I'll be reading up on him.

This is my preference at 41, provided that the Astros go with a pitcher:

    1. Berrios
    2. Virant
    3. Watson
    4. Smoral

Wow. What a little b****. Listen, kiddo...you have an opportunity right now to make millions playing baseball. An opportunity many would kill for...and you're going to throw a little hissy fit because you didn't get taken a few spots higher? Go ahead and stay another year at Stanford. Hope you take out a nice insurance policy because it's crap like this where karma loves to rear her head.

Challenging sign. Don't think he gets to 41.

This makes me even happier that we passed on the kid.

Considering that we likely saved money by taking Correa, time to start spending what's left...

Wants mid first round money and is not going to get it.

Rumor is one of the big arms had medical problems. Lance could be that one.

Also some scouts are projecting for the bullpen.

Ya'll are crazy. He declined to do an interview that is it.

Does he absolutely have to do an interview? No.
Is his team still playing in the NCAA, right now? Yes.
Would you be emotional and sad if you thought you could be #1 and end up #8? Of course.

Since when was not saying anything = saying something bad. It is not like he was at the event and walked away from them. He just decline to do an interview right now. He can always do one tomorrow.

And on top of it, you guys are roasting him for doing nothing.

Ausmus is a traitor! Repping the Padres. What I did love about Ausmus is that we tried to replace him with that hitting catcher, something I agreed with, only to watch the pitching staff fail andcomplain about his absence, we bring him back and start winning again, proving that handling a pitching staff and calling a game was more important.

I sure as hell hope so. To get the better player for less money would be sweet.

It is not like they passed on Strasburg here.
