Is this kid even done growing!?!? He'll obviously put on more muscle but he already has a pro body. He's 6'4"/190lbs. A-Rod is 6'3"/230lbs. Power-size-speed-defense and crazy athletic. If your really think about it this pick seems like a no-brainer now!

Nats get richer. Absolutely disgusting if he pans out.

Harper/Strasburg once in a generation talents.

Then score Rendon/Giolito who might have been 1st in the last 2 drafts if they hadn't gotten injured.

Who will be available for the Astros to pick at 41? I haven't done much research outside of the potential top picks.

Thought Shaffer would have fallen to 41. Would have instantly become the top 3B in the system.

He just didn't have a very good senior season. He signed a letter of intent to go to Texas A&M, but there are also rumors that he may take the JUCO route.

I think Williams might be a 2nd-3rd round guy, slight chance of going in the supplemental round.

He did very little his senior season. Only hit 2 hr. Was ranked in the top 100 of a few prospect lists, though one was prospect 100 itself.

He'll drop to the late 2nd to 3rd round most likely.

You think the Astors have a shot at Matt Smoral, Hunter Virant, Shane Watson, or Corey Seager? Which would you prefer at #41 if all 4 are available?

    Open to interpretation....

I'd be pretty mad about going to Pittsburgh if I was him.

I am glad that MLB is changing the draft system next year. The Astros were clearly the worst team in baseball and have 2 first round picks, while the Cardinals have 5 first round picks.
