I have nothing personal against Pittsburgh, it's just me hating on a rival. I'm actually excited for their fans. After years upon years of absolute garbage, their future could be bright. I love MMP, but I'm actually a little jelly of their park. I didn't want them to land Appel because that would just be fuel to their fire of pitching draft picks. He was a popular candidate for the #1 pick that the Pirates got at #8.
Years with zero top 100? How about never? 2003: Buck 2004: Buchholz, Lane 2005: Burke, Astacio 2006: Hirsh, Patton 2007: Pence, Patton, Albers 2008: Towles 2009: Castro 2010: Castro, Mier, Lyles 2011: Lyles, Villar 2012: Singleton, Cosart, Springer

Thank u for pointing out my ignorance. Top 50 would've sounded better. I shall dig a hole and bury my head in shame. Smh
just imo...after watching the Baseball america youtube vid of the kid...im really excited...he like attacking pitches that are lower in the zone...but his true strength is up in the zone...im excited...good vid...good pick...now the astros just need a change in fortune...
The White Sox front office just soiled themselves as Courtney Hawkins did that backflip on live TV. Man, if he had not landed that ... that would have been an all-time "fail" video clip.
Not the first time. This one was for Baseball America. <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HFkSSNQiqk4?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HFkSSNQiqk4?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
I meant still in the building. He was there when Hawkins just got drafted. Shouldn't he be out doing a press conference, out with his family, etc.? I didn't think the #1 pick would stay there.
