Do we seriously have to wait a year for more game of thrones? The last two episodes were great. Can't wait for season 3.
Great ending of a great season, far better than I had hoped going into it. Having read the novels, it worried me that they would go far off the reservation. They didn't. Sure, there are parts of the book that were truncated to fit as much as possible into an expensive series like this, and some things were changed, but nothing jumped out at me. Nothing like the Elves being at Helm's Deep (which was a travesty, IMO, laid on Tolkien's original work by Jackson). Outstanding actors litter The Game of Thrones, and whoever was responsible for casting this epic should take a bow. HBO got a hell of a lot done with their budget. The sets, special effects, the writing, the directing were all first rate, considering that they probably could have spent twice as much, and some of us would have still complained! It's frustrating to have to wait for more. Guess we're stuck.
Spoiler knocked out Spoiler Don't want to reveal too much by answering the 2nd question, but remember those aren't Robb's men outside Winterfell, they're Lord Bolton's.
Man, i just read through the first 50 pages of CoC and there is sooo much in the books that you wouldn't pick up from the show, a great read nonetheless!!
House of the Undying disappointed me (although I never fully expected them to do exactly what was in the book...too expensive), but the shot of the White Walker at the end made up for EVERYTHING. That dude looked awesome. Great season, I echo those that lament having to wait so long for another season.
I thought it seemed more like a mid-season cliffhanger. Then again imo it's going to take the series ender to top the epicness of last season. As they're only doing 10 episode seasons. At that number couldn't they manage 2 seasons per year? Especially if other hit shows can do the normal 24 episodes?
Why didn't those walkers or whatever they are kill the fat guy? And, are they called walkers because they wander around endlessly...or were they going to fight some other group?
The Wildlings are seperate, they fear the White Wakers just as much, remember after the Snow and Half Hand fight the Lord of Bones mentioned they needed to burn the body because Snow wouldn't want that one coming back after him.
I'm guessing Jon somehow leads an army of Wildings that teams up with the Starks army. Did Robert take over Remly's army? Does he even have much of a force left after Wildfire explosion? Are the Lannisters even more powerful with the addition of that one hottie queen? What exactly is the Whitewalkers army trying to do? What exactly are the Iron Islanders trying to do? Where is the Mother of Dragons getting an army/navy from? Any armies or peoples I'm missing that are vying for the throne? Tyrion better get back into being in power soon. Too awesome a character to fade away.
