<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/q4UWyNmf3OI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I played this game 4 years in a row. I wanna play something new now. EA needs a new madden engine. The sideline still look animatronic while you're actually in game. EA can't get rid of cut scenes, because models look like TRASH during actual game play that isn't on field. I bet the players on the field would look like trash if you could see them during a cut scene or that isn't involved in a cut scene. This game looks like absolute garbage... Can't wait for 2k to get the NFL rights so they can start producing an actual Football simulation.
Probably be picking this up. Only thing looking forward to this year is playing it on ps3 for first time so back to the dualshock which i havent used to play madden since the ps2
EA has the NFL rights till 2013 and I really hope this doesn't get extended. I want to finally see a different football game besides Madden.
So, let's try something new with one of these "Madden Sucks" threads. If EA totally revamped the game engine, or if 2K got the license - what would you change?
I haven't followed any updates, but I wouldn't be optimistic about the license situation changing. Seems like an exclusive license is what the NFL wants, and I don't see any reason why anyone other than EA would get it.
Im a die hard football fan and if you are too than madden should already be a fun game because its football. I'm all about presentation so here's some ideas to make it even more intense which will lead to more fun. -Basically anything you see on real NFL games should be in madden -Really good endings to each game.(Each game should end differently depending on how close, how great, how bad the game was.) -The mvp of the game should be getting praised by everyone even the other team if he did that well(pats on the back and all) -The sidelines should be going crazy when you run pass them for a touchdown or from a pic6 -More cut scenes -More replays(with better camera angles) -Bring back half time reports -Impressive pregame shows -Impressive after game shows -Nonstop commentary -Blood -Big chunks of grass in your face mask if you get hit hard into the ground -Players getting ready to get into it but then it gets broken up by teammates -Show teammates talking to each other -Rivals don't shake hands in the beginning but get in each others faces -Referees ripping off players in dog piles -Whistles being blown from referees -Make injuries a lot more dramatic when they happen because injuries are dramatic -(Here's the coolest feature ever)Every time out should bring up a choice for if you want to show someone pumping up their teammates, players drinking Gatorade, getting a speech so they can get more focused, and any other ideas you can think of. Depending on which type of player you have should bring up different types of choices. For instance ray lewis is always motivating his teammates therefore if your the ravens you should have the ability to motivate your players which will boost their ratings for a period of time. If you choose to do that it should go into a cut scene of ray Lewis pumping them up. If you drink Gatorade it should go into a cut scene of them drinking then it should restore your energy....catch my drift?
I'm a huge NFL 2k fan and I still think today 2k5 still has the best presentation among all football games between 2005 and 2012. 2k's in game commentary always felt way more fluid than Madden's also. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wtwx_Rv21Iw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Madden '12 was the first Madden since 2003 that I didn't buy. At this point, I'm leaning toward skipping this one too.
I stopped in the early 2000's when realizing that every year the game is exactly the same and all they do is update the roster.
2k is not getting NFL Rights anytime soon. They can't afford it. Hell, they are letting their MLB license expire after this year. There will be no MLB game on the Xbox until EA restarts MVP for 2014. I hated 2k's gameplay anyway.
What do you mean "really good endings"? You determine the ending by your play, its not like its pre-planned. That would be a nightmare...I mash on the buttons to get away from cut scenes and replays as quickly as possible. If a halftime show wants to have cooler replay's/recaps, then thats fine...but during the actual gameplay, I cant stand anything that interferes with the action on the field. I actually just pre-ordered the game last night from Amazon...I think it was like a 15 dollar credit. However, not sure if Im going to cancel or not since it just seems like the same game since 2010 (I loved 2009 Madden).
