Damn coach you are really high on Jeffrey Taylor. He must be better than what i think of him( although i didnt watch much of Vandy last year) What do you think Jeremy Lamb... is Jeffrey Taylor a better prospect than him in your eyes
I don't see how Ross is getting so little attention from Rockets fans. The guy might be the best shooter in the lotto. Shoots well off the dribble, and seems capable of playing the 2 or 3 depending on matchups. I know he's not the big we want, but the talented bigs just aren't there. Martin will be gone soon, and Ross meets a lot of our backcourt needs.
Explain? I do realize that we would have to take back some contracts, but I was laying out the main framework of the deal.
Just to match the in-coming salaries, they'd have to trade LMA, Matthews & one other guy. Remember, on draft night the 2011 cap numbers still apply, thus the Blazers (and Rockets for that matter) do not have any cap space to absorb contracts. Also, you can not trade players who're about to become free agents in the upcoming summer.
Drummond, Beal, Lamb, Wroten: Spoiler <script src="http://player.espn.com/player.js?&playerBrandingId=4ef8000cbaf34c1687a7d9a26fe0e89e&pcode=1kNG061cgaoolOncv54OAO1ceO-I&width=576&height=324&externalId=espn:7984310&thruParam_espn-ui[autoPlay]=false&thruParam_espn-ui[playRelatedExternally]=true"></script> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ww9lXcfEd14" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <script src="http://player.espn.com/player.js?&playerBrandingId=4ef8000cbaf34c1687a7d9a26fe0e89e&pcode=1kNG061cgaoolOncv54OAO1ceO-I&width=576&height=324&externalId=espn:7992014&thruParam_espn-ui[autoPlay]=false&thruParam_espn-ui[playRelatedExternally]=true"></script> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5IVL29Vulio" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I know Drummond had food poisoning, but he even looks soft in this work-out. Totally exhausted, too. (Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, just saying.) I've only seen highlights and this workout, but I just can't see Wroten succeeding at SG. PG, maybe. SG, highly doubt it.
Yes because of his elite defensive prowess. They both shoot at a pretty good percentage. Wide gap on defense, though.
Doron Lamb. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lpxxzInNCPE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I thought he was mainly just a jump shooter. A guy that can come off of screens and hit an open three. Didn't realize he was that athletic. He looks like a guy that can get his own shot.
MKG workout footage & interview with Chad Ford: <script src="http://player.espn.com/player.js?&playerBrandingId=4ef8000cbaf34c1687a7d9a26fe0e89e&pcode=1kNG061cgaoolOncv54OAO1ceO-I&width=576&height=324&externalId=espn:8001649&thruParam_espn-ui[autoPlay]=false&thruParam_espn-ui[playRelatedExternally]=true"></script> Still not the most impressive interview. I like his game quite a lot (though I must admit I haven't watched him play much) and could care less that his shot is broken, but I'm not quite sure what to make of his interviews. Does he get a pass because he can just flat out ball? Should we just not care? I think so, but you know that if he were random player X, people weren't really sure about, it would be a huge turnoff.
Thomas Robinson is my favorite player in this draft BY FAR. Would love, probably kill even, for the rockets to snag him somehow.
MKG - Yeah like people mentioned before, he needs to fix his jumpshot. He's definitely quick and athletic and has decent handles at his size. I think the execution of his perimeter moves can be cleaned up a bit too. Moultrie - He needs to get his steps right. For a big I like his jumpshot especially if they play him in the right role where he can just catch and shoot although his left arm bothers me when he shoots. I haven't seen these guys play in college so these assessments are just based on the videos.
I thought the same thing when I first saw an interview with him, but then I researched more and found out he has a speech disorder/impediment. He has struggled with it his whole life. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/story/18228469
Yup Gilchrist has a speech problem. It's why he wasn't on the podium during a lot of press conferences this past season
Also not sure why people think Kidd-Gilchrist will fall 3 or 4 slots because his shot release. It's not like GM's and Scouts have just discovered his funky release. He shot like that all season long.
having a jumpshot is overrated, look at Chandler Parsons, if you do can other things to help your team win( that should be good enough). MKG has great intangibles Everybody is expecting these players to be able to do everything, not every player is Kevin Durant, or LeBron James we need realistic expectations for these guys
