Sterilizing the poor and placing a 2 child cap is the best option. The only problem is, in a I-want-results-tomorrow time, it will be a generation before we see the positive effects. It's just a very, very bleak future for middle and lower class America. I think as a nation, they need to accept some people are just more genetically gifted than others, and let the weak ones ride off into the sunset instead of letting them drag them down. A lot of you nerds will measure things in terms of efficiency and productivity only, but what really makes people tick? Beauty and talent. Things that cannot be quantified, but are essential in life, because they equate to inspiration. So the morbidly unattractive also need to go, even if they are 12% better at pumping out TP19 reports than an aesthetically attractive person who couldn't care less. These are drastic measures, but for the survival of humanity, drastic changes need to be made. We'll all be wiped out by mother nature in 500 years anyways. Might as well make the most of what time we have left.
There are a few leaches in the system. Some make the news and people base their opinion entirely on a few stories. Half the country makes less than 27k. Most of us are closer to poor than anything rich. But who wants to admit that? Rich blames the poor/poor blames the rich. And most of the people in the middle will side with the rich even though they have a heck a lot more common with the poor. I agree adding community service is a good idea for people that are on unemployment/welfare. I'd also change "unemployment' to "welfare" after 3 months. It seems like folks have no problem collecting unemployment but welfare is such a evil word maybe that will motivate people more to get working. Myself somebody that makes a decent living. I do not want to live in a society with starving kids on the street so if a low part of my taxes go to welfare than that sounds good to me
Not a few (from August 2010) 40 million Americans get food stamps 50 million are on Medicaid, the federal health-care system for the poor 10 million are still receiving unemployment checks 4.4 million are on federal welfare
The Feds pays $5 billion to a farmer to not plant crops, but to stay at home and collect paychecks. We should all buy some farmland with no intention of farming and collect welfare checks. Instead of working, you get "investors" given incentives to be lazy and collect federal checks, every year.
I collected unemployment for a bit. I feel entitled to it. I have paid a lifetime of unemployment insurance and certainly don't see it as a handout. And I wasn't sitting on my butt while on it. First you have to be looking for work. Secondly $400 a week is not enough to survive on. But you know what. $9 an hour is not enough to survive on either. I don't think you understand how unemployment works. Your buddy collects his check which is a tiny fraction of his income potential. The idea of unemployment is not to get you a job that pays minimum wage but rather buys you time to get a job in your industry.
Come one man .. . if you spend 12 yrs in college and the loans to go with it . . . . When you lose your job . . you should take the 1st thing offered to you. http://www.employmentspectator.com/2012/05/phds-reduced-to-being-on-welfare/ Lazy people get PHDs and advanced degrees . . .. right? Rocket River
Yes I am all covered in sex jelly, all day, because that's all people in KY do is cover each other in sex jelly. How about you refute my (true) statements instead of trying to degrade 3 million people. You can always tell when someone doesn't have a good response when... Fact is, I am right. Too many damn people would rather do nothing and collect checks then work. There are no jobs is a stupid excuse because business are hiring everywhere. Hell just two weeks ago I saw an article in YOUR paper saying the Oil industry is begging for workers but they can't get enough to pass a drug test. You think if they really wanted those jobs they would have kept smoking pot and doing coke? Get real. Poor uneducated lazy people are bringing this country and the rest of us with jobs down with them.
Like many people, you have let yourself be convinced of things that simply aren't true. The question you should ask yourself is why you willingly accept these things as your own observations.
Let's just round up all the poor people and put them in gas chambers. Its their fault for being poor! Why waste money on their lives when that money could be used to buy a new sportscar for a rich person? Damn straight. Preach on brother.
- not sure if serious? We had 30% unemployment during the great depression with almost no social safety net so your argument is kind of an epic fail. When there's no demand, there's no jobs. Plain and simple, but don't worry, there are a lot of smart people who don't want to understand this either.
This excuse doesn't really fly. Case in point, McDonalds, hardly a glamorous destination, had a job fair a few years ago and had some thing like 1 million applicants for 50 k openings.
This topic deserves breaking down toroot causes. To cut it short, high paying blue collar jobs are becoming a limited breed in availability, while white collar jobs that require specialized tech skills are facing a shortage in supply. For the dummies, you're too dumb to get a better training and the better jobs that are hiring don't want you.
Are all these people leeches? There are over 315,000,000 people in the USA... So only 1.5% of Americans are on federal welfare?? Only 4% get unemployment?? 7% get food stamps (almost all children) and 14% on Medicaid (mostly children).. Looks like your statistics don't really support your position.. By the way, take the entire amount spent on "welfare" and compare it to the military budget and get back to me...
My fellow Americans, I want you to turn to the side and look your neighbor in the eyes. And now repeat after me. I don't want a handout. I want ... Spoiler a handjob.
It's just brainwashing. The super wealthy pretty much control everything including the media, so we are taught rich people are just better than us. People who work very hard with overtime and are still just scraping by become angry. But they have been taught it is immoral to be mad at someone who is wealthy. So they redirect their rage at the poor...because they are living so badly they resent the fact that even the lowest classes have cell-phones (albeit often in lieu of a landline), televisions, some kind of car, they want there to BY GOD BE A CLASS OF PEOPLE DOING SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE THAN THEY ARE). And there are, the homeless. The margin between lower middle class and subsistence/survival has gotten razor thin. You've basically got working people two paychecks from the street, and unemployed people scrambling to stay off the street another month. And the former group thinks their big enemy is the latter group. It's just classic brainwashing.
I assume that now you are being sarcastic and that you are in Kentucky, but how can I know for sure? All you said before was that you were in KY, which is the name of a state and a lube. It is unclear from your tone if you are in the state or just all covered with lube. I doubt I am the only one that is unclear on this -- you still kind of sound like you're all covered with lube.
