Jeff Green isn't that good. I thought everybody knew that by now.

Regarding Rondo, every time he has a great scoring game or plays some good games in-a-row, someone here starts a thread about him being the best PG in the NBA. He's not and never will be. Rondo's poor shooting is like a millstone around his neck.

I hope he brings his "A" game the rest of this series and the Celts stretch this as far as possible since they don't have a realistic chance of winning the series.

This is a theoretical waste of time. Rondo doesn't have a jumpshot and never will. Don't let one game fool you. He can't even hit 60% of his FTs. He will NEVER be the best PG in the league.

Who gives a care about "pureness"? Derek Fisher was never a "pure" anything and he's won 5 championships. Tony Parker has won 3.

If I had to compare Rondo to any other pg to play the game, it would most likely be J Kidd based on the threat of Triple Doubles every night and the lack of jumpshooting ability early in the career (However J Kidd has worked on his, and apparently Rondo is working on his too)

how so? im just saying, hypothetically, rondo is the best pure pg if he developed a jump shot.

will he ever? i doubt it, but rose was also a poor shooter, he still isn't great, but he has gotten a lot better at it

Yes, Rose has steadily improved his shooting and is much better than when he begin his career with the Bulls. Rondo's shooting has flatlined his 6 years in the NBA. He is what he is.

If Shaq had developed a jumpshot, he would have been the best C in NBA history.

Rondo inability to shoot (or it seems more so his lack of confidence) has been holding him back. If he can start shooting those midrangers and even threes with confidence, then he is the best PG in the NBA no doubt.

You know how hard it is to get that? It's not just making open jumpshots; it's creating your own jumpshot on the perimeter, which only a handful of player can do and do it efficiently.

    'If he gets a jumpshot...'
'If he can improve his FT shooting...'

How many years have we been saying that?

He's still a top PG in the league. Nothing wrong with that.
