I like the move for #5. May need to add a little more like morris and a pick. We also may have to take on reke especially if the kings are adamant on moving him. Derrick Williams could also be another option for Martin and bud. He'd be nice behind Parsons. Draft beal, drummond, or barnes with that pick. Sign gogi and camby back. Dragic Reke/ (beal or Barnes) Parsons/dwill Scola/donuts Camby/(drummond)
yeah i know, but, which team would want L.Scola and his contract ? the only reason i`ll trade L.Scola to Charlotte is they might accept it, a young team full of young players, they need a leader and L.Scola is a great leader, might be able to help them win more games.
I do not understand why anyone would draft liliard this high. He is a 6'2" guard who was a combo in college. Not tall enough to play a SG in the NBA and no one can figure out if he has the vision to be an NBA PG. Man.
1. Re-sign Dragic/Camby 2. Bring over Donuts 3. TRADE -- Lowry/Scola/14th pick for Evans/Garcia/5th pick 4. DRAFT Thomas Robinson with the 5th pick 5. TRADE -- Martin/Morris for Williams/Ridnour/Miller 6. Amnesty Miller 7. DRAFT Austin Rivers with the 16th pick (hopefully) Dragic/Ridnour Evans/Rivers/Garcia Parsons/Williams Robinson/Donuts/Patterson Camby/Dalembert BOOM, baby. BOOM.
Edit: Just saw here Not exactly groundbreaking news but just some speculation about Lowry/Portland. [rquoter]It's tough to predict what the Blazers are going to do when they don't have a GM or a coach. President Larry Miller has been promising that they are nearing the end of the search, so we might have a better feel soon. The Blazers have two untouchable players right now in LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum. They could use help everywhere else. It will be very interesting to see if they roll the dice on Drummond if he slides this far. The upside, at No. 6, may be too much to pass up. But I also wouldn't be shocked to see the Blazers trade one or both picks if they can land a young point guard in return. This draft is weak on point guards and while many teams, including the Blazers, like Damian Lillard, the sixth pick may be a little high for him. The Clippers' Eric Bledsoe, the Pacers' Darren Collison and the Rockets' Kyle Lowry are possibilities.[/rquoter]
I wish there was something believable out there with us getting some young stud, but it doesn't seem likely. I see us making moves that keep us competitive, but sadly middle of the pack. Lowry and Morris and #16 for Gortat and #13 Ppat for Sefolosha Draft Marshall at 13 and Leonard at 14. Re-sign Gogi. Let lee walk. C:Gortat/Camby/Meyers PF:Scola/Motie SF: parsons/bud SG:martin/thabo PGragic/Marshall (Buy 2nd rnd pick and try and work that 2nd rnd magic with a 2 or a 1 for depth.) If he is stll being a baby, trade Martin b4 deadline for a future first(probably a low one from a good team like the bulls) since i doubt he gets you anything much and is expiring anyway.
Henson could easily step in and learn behind while playing with camby... moultrie is my upside risk pick, if he goes to d-league thats fine we already have ppat and motie, plus arnett could play sparingly at C as a spacing big... beal would fight lee for starter spot... wroten would provide ba kup to dragic.. . They are all bench players first year except maybe beal... Im sorry i didnt choose(nor am i as high on) jeff taylor, whos a SF...
I liked the picks. it was just the development stage that concerns me. My thing is to draft players who we know will come in and contribute right away. It's okay about the Taylor thing. I forgive you.
I actually really like Williams! I traded for him on a videogame and did well. So, I started watching him and I think he could be very good. I'm a fan.
would not work the hawks like teague so why another pg in lowry amare being as injury prone as he is may not work in LA especially considering how vocal he can become with touches -- 3 guys that demand the ball not good i have no idea what new york would do with martin and scola -- really have no idea what sort of offense they are trying to run there to be honest. personally I would do this: lowry Dalembert #14 #16 to Sacramento for JSalmons Cousins Kings would get their replacement center (back) or if they want to cut salary they can with sammy -- they have Lowry in as a PG and then 2 first round picks to help round them out Rockets finally get the potential franchise player they have been desperate for -- this is all dependent on re-signing Goran of course Then: Trade Kevin Martin for Mo Williams The clippers do not have any SGs really on that team they have been playing a lot of PGs as SGs instead -- with the emergency of eric bledsoe foye and mo williams are a bit more expendable a lineup of paul/martin/butler/griffin/jordan is far more dangerous then having to start either billups or foye (as they were this year) final rockets lineup PG: Goran(re-signed)/Mo Williams SG: Lee (re-signed)/Salmons SF: Parsons/Morris PF: Scola/Motiejunas/Patterson C: Cousins/Motiejunas - Camby (re-signed) this lineup though has two options only and hopefully it can be known quickly option 1) become atlanta hawks west -- good enough to make the playoffs and possibly even winning a round but not championship material option 2) this can become a championship caliber team if Cousins, Motiejunas, Dragic, Parsons, Lee all keep improving esp Cousins over the next few seasons and come close to maxing their true potential -- if so this team can be very versatile on both ends of the floor now back to lurking in the GARM until draft day
Scenario if Robinson slips to the Kings' pick (#5) Lowry, Ppat, Bud for Garcia and #5 Draft J.Lamb with 14 if he's still on the board. T.Ross if he's not. Trade Ny pick, Scola, Martin, Dally, and rights to Llull for Gasol and McRoberts (exp. contract). Sign back Dragic, Lee and Camby Dragic Lee/(Lamb or Ross) Parsons/ Morris/Garcia Robinson/ Donuts/ McRoberts Gasol/ Camby/ Smith
