Doesn't really matter to me. We haven't done much to become popular like that as others have stated. Gotta start building a winning culture first, that's all I care about right now for the Texans.

I'd say most of us wouldn't like the Texans if we weren't affiliated/attached with this city. They've been a horrible franchise with a ridiculous name and logo. Of course I love our name and logo but obviously it's biased because they're undeniably corny. :p

I know there's a contigent of people who don't like the name - but the logo? That logo is BA. Period.

i completely agree. classic and understated.

i think the name affects their popularity across the country. moreso than yankees (super general); lakers (name means nothing in LA aside from the fact it's always been that) and cowboys (cowboys are a huge part of american history that is romanticized -- john wayne was a cowboy)....

but Texans is pretty damn specific :) I'm fine with it. I don't care if people in Nebrasksa can't get around them because the name conjures up imagery of Texas and Texans they've generalized to not like. But I think it factors in if you're talking about popularity.

    By the way:

    Sarcasm?

Hey, I remember when teams like the Vikings, Redskins, and Dolphins were very popular. I really don't care if the Texans become popular with the rest of the country. I'm just happy Houston has a team again, and now that team is fun to watch. Thank you Bob McNair!

Take out Lakers and throw in the Phillies.

    Hell, the Canadiens, too.

Who cares how everyone else feels? That 'likability' rating is doing wonders for the Cowboys record, isn't it? Their fans think it's still the 90's and a SB is just one draft away. Kings of Denial.
Texans are doing it. Just win and it'll all happen.

RAvens won a super bowl and have been good for years, they aren't high on this list. The only cure is time.
