I am not (though I do think it's inappropriate for the first lady to be pushing health habits). I am just tired of opening a thread to bull**** comments such as

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6882735&postcount=3

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6882759&postcount=6

    or

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6882736&postcount=4

These fools should just not post or explain what they disapprove of. And They do it too often

Hes not Republican. Also removing an individuals choice to sell/consume a certain liquid is certainly a liberal policy, who proposes it is irrelevant.

He is independent and has probably the complete opposite policy I would prefer on almost every issue.

Exactly what I was thinking of when all of this started and my usual response to these arguments. Nutrition is the liberal version of conservatives dictating sex and drug morals.

I don't many logical arguments for/against one that won't work for all three.

    yes, I think it's inappropriate.

dictating drug and sex morals has nothing to do with conservatism (small government). In fact, most conservatives believe in legalizing most drugs. You are thinking of religious people. Common mistake amongst liberals.

Your call hoss. Whatever group you want to use, the side that is for legislating sex and drugs is usually against doing the same for nutrition. They all impact health, and are personal decisions.

Nope. Conservatives/Libertarians don't believe in legislating/regulating any of those. Small government is not a complicated concept. Liberals believe in regulating these things (big government).

So that whole constitutional amendment idea to ban gay marriage isn't really coming from conservatives huh?

You can not lump Libertarians in with conservatives. And you will rarely find a liberal that supports the drug war or sodomy laws.

The concept of government recognized marriage comes from liberals. Libertarians/Conservatives would prefer it not be defined.

when it comes to market regulation you can. They believe the same thing. Don't do it.

maybe, but liberals do believe it should be regulated, unlike conservatives/libertarians.

Have not heard much of it since 2004 when Bush needed to get re-elected. Good thing Obama can rally the troops with gay marriage in 2012 though. Hypocrisy at isn't to me is the same girl screaming for the government to get out of her womb probably supports the government in her stomach.

crap, OK you got me. But to be fair he was against it before he was for it.

I think you are way off and confusing this issue for no reason. Conservatism is not libertarianism

Nope. Conservatives and Libertarians believe in little to no market regulation. They differ on National Defense and some social issues. Basic stuff.

go ask Hightop (a libertarian) how he feels about government certified marriages.
