Shocking as it might seem, I am going with DD on this one.

Fair enough. But I think trading Lowry leads to Gasol. And I am a huge proponent of ditching Lowry and acquiring Gasol. As everyone on CF probably already knows.

Only way I'm pulling the trigger on a Gasol trade is if a deal for DH12 is soon to follow. I think they would make a fantastic frontcourt with Dwight down low and Gasol away from the bucket. I don't like Gasol carrying the team, but I think he has more left than it appears -- Mike Brown's offense was his biggest problem.

    Lowry + Scola for Gasol

#7 or 8 (trade Patterson + 14 to move up), Dalembert, Martin, Morris, #16, future #1 for DH12

    Howard/Camby (re-sign)
    Gasol/Motie
    Parsons/Budinger
    Lee/Budinger
    Dragic

Lakers Bynum and Gasol part two? No thanks. If Gasol cannot have the low post to himself then more than half of his game is gone.

I guess the question should be to clutchfans. Is what do you want more.

1.Lowry but no Dragic because Lowry does not want him here
2.Pau Gasol but no Lowry because Lowry is what the Lakers want
3.A higher draft pick trading away Lowry to get into the top 10

They all involve losing either Lowry or Dragic. So which one do the Clutchfans want?

I think if we trade Lowry for Gasol that Goran would sign probably pretty fast. we are showing a commitment to him and pairing him with a much better player than he has ever played with short of Nash.

If not we have gasol and we try and lure in some FAs or just be bad and get a higher draft pick!!!!

Well, it is complicated, but one of Lowry/Dragic is gone anyway. Dragic in my mind.

I agree with every thing you said except that if we have Gasol, barring injury, we are playoff bound for a number of years.

Gasol is arguably a better post player than Dwight (not the case with Bynum who is better than both of them down low) so Dwight could in theory play off of him. Gasol can get more low post touches, freeing Dwight to cut and get rebounds. Gasol can also facilitate from the elbow, something that I don't think the Lakers capitalized on.

Not to mention that the Lakers dysfunctional offense did no favors to Gasol, led by the powerless one himself - Mike Brown.

I'm not in huge favor of trading for Gasol, but it'll be hard to do much better than a Gasol+DH12 offseason and they are both seemingly available right now.

I honestly don't know. Can Howard reliably hit an open 12-14 foot jump shot? If so I can support it.

I wonder if Charlotte would offer #2 pick to Houston for one of their fantasy packages.

Bynum certainly could not. This yielded double and triple teams for Gasol in the low post.

you might want to add "mind control" too the houston side of the trade going to Orlando so they're willing to take our crap instead of the multiple other offers that are likely to be better.

we have three options involving Gasol,

Keep Lowry and Goran is gone, we don't get Gasol and we get the 14th pick.

Trade Lowry and get Gasol, resign Dragic and we have what IMO would be a Playoff team at least.

Trade Lowry and get Gasol, Goran leaves, Morey has his Man and we are trusting Him to build around Pau... Or we get the 14th pick.

I say just get Gasol, Lowry is becoming a headache and Gasol is one of the Best 7 footers in the Game today.

I think it depends on who falls to the Rockets. I wouldnt be against getting Gasol if Morey drafts pretty good. Those guys who we could surround Gasol with are Perry Jones, Sullinger, Austin Rivers, Jeremy Lamb, Harrison Barnes.

Oh plus if we lose Dragic and Lowry Damian Lillard would be a good PG if he fell to the Rockets.
