Lol we had a 0.5% chance to get the top overall pick and this guy is criticizing the team for not getting it....

    What a douche....

I know Solomon is just trying to be a smartass, but even this is an apples and oranges comparison. Part of playing in the East means playing an East-dominated schedule, which includes more games against the Bobcats, Wizards and Cavs (the three worst records in the league). Typical lazy fluff.

Wow Jerome is smart these days. He knows. Morey job is done this year in this draft. If its not done? Its a failure. A complete and utter failure unless he hits big on one of those 14 and 16th picks.

The worst part of the season for me was our ****ty sportswriters. Solomon's articles make my eyes bleed.

The guy has high expectations, why should he agree that the Rockets having a winning record is good enough when more than half the teams in the league make the playoffs, it isn't good enough.

Morey openly stated their goal was the playoffs, no excuses....they failed AGAIN.....

Nothing wrong with holding his feet to the fire, right now he is failing as a GM...the team has not gotten better - just stayed the same.

What are you guys upset about? Aside from suggesting that not getting the #1 pick is some sort of failure on the Rockets' part, the piece is dead on. Our goal has been to make the playoffs instead of rebuild. We've failed to do so for three straight years. We have no star and no high picks. It's an incredibly frustrating time to be a fan and he's just calling it like it is. He even gives Morey props for scouting well and says we have assets to make this a good offseason.

    OMG, so horrible.

I dont get it. Clutchfans dont like drafting good players. Dont like Superstars and hate rebuilding. Its probably the worst environment to have a good basketball team in.

cause 3 straight years w/o playoff, are 3 years enough for a team to get much much better % than 0.5?

look at our roster from year one yao left, year two, and year three, do you really think rox is going to be a title contender? even getting gasol, this team AT BEST is 2nd rounder. from owner to front office, they show nothing but delusion.

He forgot delusional, but his articles are irrelevant at this point when it comes to Rockets. The Rockets aren't going to come up with any high picks with finishing at or near .500. Solomon probably realizes that and is simply taking thinly, veiled shots at the Rockets' management for really making any real progress and running around in a mice wheel.

That's every fanbase in the world, unfortunately. People want a direction and they want a winner after the high expectations and disappointments of the Yao-McGrady era. This sadness has caused several people to praise Jerome Solomon, who defines hack opinion journalism. That is actually sadder than the Rockets situation.
