I used to think the NFL should add the lottery for their draft now I'm not so sure people scream it's rigged almost every year. Really name any team in the lottery and you can dream up a reason on why the league would want them to have the #1 pick...

Exactly. But it's more fun to say rigged when your team isn't on the receiving end.

Go back to the Hornets shopped/sold thread or any stern nixed trade thread and you will see many fans talking about how stern will give the hornets the number one pick. You don't need to be a genius to call it.

I hate the lottery. May the best tanker win. Not this bs revenue sharing lotto system where no team can lose money in the nba for one season.

Stop buying tickets and watch the rockets get the number one pick. WATCH

The team with lowest attendence and moving to the big market in Brooklyn doesn't even have a lottery pick

LOL! Charlotte tanks and they get obviously punished. Hornets get run by Stern and to look good he gives them the first pick. LMAO! They have a new owner too. So it makes sense for them instead of Charlotte. So many people even called this. Its like its predictable because every says its fixed. Then it turns out this way. Too much coincidence.

You notice the whole family is there already? The new owner, the wife, and one of their reps too? Its almost as if they knew they would get the pick.

Yes, and that is why I was convinced there was no way in hell the NBA would go ahead and give the Hornets the #1 pick. 2 or 3? Maybe. But this just looks too obvious...

"hey tom, wouldn't you like to buy the hornets and own two teams in the same city?" - stern
"LOL no thanks, hornets suck" - tom
"we'll give you the #1 pick if you buy them" - stern
"hmm, well the saints are pretty screwed this season, so i might as well." - tom

That is a terrible argument. They are moving to a new city and the attendance should be good because everyone wants to see the new team. They will get bored eventually if they keep losing. Look up the attendance figures of the thunder. Once you see a dip the team will start winning.

An arena can only sell a certain amount of seats. Remember that.
