A starting backcourt of Lowry/Irving, Dwill at the 3/4 and Zeller at #14 is gives the Cavs a great young team to build around.
Looking at the raptors, who are high on Kyle Lowry... Trade Houston & Toronto --------------------------------------------------------------- Houston Receives: Demar Derozan, 8th pick and Jose Calderon(expiring) Toronto Receives: Kyle Lowry, Luis Scola and 16th pick. --------------------------------------------------------------- Other off-season moves: - With the 8th pick select: PG Damian Lillard & with the 14th pick select:C Tyler Zeller - Re-up: Goran Dragic , Courtney Lee and Marcus Camby Houston Rockets Roster: PG: Goran Dragic | Damian Lillard / J. Calderon SG: Demar Derozan | Courtney Lee SF: Chandelr Parsons | Marcus Morris PF: Patrick Patterson | Donatas Motiejunas C : Marcus Camby | Tyler Zeller / Greg Smith
I wouldn't resign Lee because he would be making too much money not starting. Where's Cbud and Dalembert?
Demar Derozen is not a morey type player. He's just an athlete that can shoot but he doesn't make winning basketball plays and is not efficient.
Well... I dissmissed jopatmc's idea, as I didn't think the Wizards would make the same mistake twice in three years, but he may have been onto something:

Hear they might try to move the pick if they don't get #1. RT @scotteharris4: Don't the wizards already have an MKG type in chris singleton?
— Jonathan Givony (@DraftExpress) May 29, 2012
Of course we don't know what the Wizards are looking for, but if they're looking for proven vets Martin, Scola or Dalembert and #14 for Rashard and their 1st sound would sound reasonable to me.
Well, you very well may be right, but it doesn't matter what you and I think. I may be reading into it, but the Wizards very well might look for proven veterans and could be willing to trade their pick to get rid of Lewis. I doubt anybody is going to take on Blatche. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...y-davis-no-1/2012/05/29/gJQAEVeF0U_story.html
I would love to see Morey get ahold of the #2 pick and watch how many moves he makes with it, trading back down and picking up asset after asset until he gets to the point of drafting the player he would have taken with the 2nd pick anyways.
Do you really think we'd keep the pick? I think we'd trade it, along with Lowry & Dalembert to the Magic for Howard.
No, I agree. I think we'd trade it for Howard. But if we couldnt get Howard to agree to a deal, he'll find some r****d team wanting to trade up for Drummond and he'll trade back to 4,5,6 and take in a haul along with getting his guy at 4,5,6.
Blatche is untradeable, no one wants him. Wizards offered him and their unprotected first rounder, and no one bit. Don't they still have their amnesty? Why not just use it on Blatche?
Interesting. How about something like this? Rockets trade- Lowry, Scola, S&T Lee, Morris, Hou pick Get- Lewis, #2 pick Lakers trade- Gasol Get- Lowry, Scola, morris Wizards trade- Lewis, pick Get- Gasol, Lee, Hou pick
I can see washington missing out on lottery and landing 4/5... We trade lowry, scola to lakerland We send gasol, kmart to wizardville we recieve #4/5, and lewis Might need salary tweakin because i didnt trade machine it... But at 4/5 we select Beal at 14 we select henson At 16 we select arnett moultrie resign dragic Resign lee Resign camby Buy a 2nd rd pick to draft backup pg Decline or trade dalembert Dragic/2nd rd pick c.lee/beal Parsons/bud/morris Ppat/motie/moultrie Camby/henson/moultrie Future!!!
I think you're over-complicating it. (I also am opposed to the idea of trading Lowry for Gasol, but that's just me). Also, you can't do sign&trade deals on draft night. Is Martin, Scola/Dalembert and a pick for Lewis and the Wizards pick too wishful? Would it take multiple picks? Would it still be worth it at that point? Can you sell the Wizards on the idea of a Dalembert/Nene or a Nene/Scola froncourt? Yup, the Wizards take back to much salary (over $9M) for this trade to work. I also think you're overpaying at that point (again I don't think we should trade Lowry for Gasol) and may not have the pieces for a follow-up deal for Dwight Howard. Of course you could just keep the pick and go the re-building route like you suggested, but I still you're overpaying to get that pick. Just my opinion though.
Too complicated to work, I think. The more teams get involved, the easier the whole thing falls apart. Or gets Stern'd. We also give up way, way, way too much talent just to get a broken-down Rashard, the #2 pick, and more cap space in a year. But if the Wiz want vets, we got'em.
