littlefinger tells sansa how the hound got his scars from the mountain as a kid during the tournament of the hand
Here is the actor's audition for the show where he performs the original text from the books regarding telling the story to Sansa: ]<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TIWX2fPx-5k?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah, it's too bad they didn't keep that scene in the show and instead had Littlefinger tell Sansa the story.
Was there any reasoning for that change? Seems like having the Hound telling it would have worked so much better in the long run.
I don't know. They changed lots of things from the books to the show especially in season 2. Some of it is probably wanting to get more screen time for higher profile actors like Aidan Gillen, and some of it is probably just lack of screen time in general, as the way they did it in the show was a shorter scene to get that particular story across. But that is just speculation on my part.
Ratings dropped for last episode last week 3.9, this week 3.4 WiC claims it's due to Memorial Day weekend. Sounds like wishful thinking.
How does it work? Do they get numbers from those watching on DVR later? What about from watching on HBOgo? Just curious.
Well the link does say in general TV viewings went down 20% for the weekend, and it happened last year as wel. If it's a historical trend then it's a bit more than wishful thinking, it's probably a fact.
I've been thinking about Jaqen and an old character for a while now and have come to a conclusion... tell me what you guys think: Spoiler I think Jaqen is really Syrio Forel. We later find out Jaqen is a shape shifter. We never see Syrio die, infact when Cersei speaks about Arya in GoT she says she was never able to claim her due to her meddling dance master interfering. She never says he was killed so perhaps he was taken to the black cells. Also while on the way to the wall, we see Jaqen in the cart of prisoners from the cells. He seemed to have an interest in Arya from the get go and inferred that she was Arya of House Stark from her name Arry. I know its pretty out there, but what do you guys think?
And the theory often gets dismissed because Spoiler Jaqen was supposedly already in the black cells when Syrio was walking freely in King's Landing.
