I will never forget that game. The Utah fans were all standing there, silently, just watching our deluge of 3-pointers. It was absolutely pure awesome.

the playoff record before our 19 was 13. that's how you break a record.

of course our record got topped by the sonics while playing us a year later so that sucked.

That game was insane, especially the first half. They were lighting them up like crazy. Everyone was bombing away. I think that was also the game that Horry had that sick jam.

That was the game it all started clicking, imo, to lead to a 2nd championship. When you really for the first time could see what they were capable of.

Went to game 4 of that series, where Olajuwon and Drexler both scored 40+.

So, in one series, they posted a 140 point game, they had a game where two players scored 40+ in one game, and they had the Kenny Smith line talked about in this thread.

Utah had a 41 point 4th, outscored us by 9, and still lost by 14. My GOODNESS.

How is it possible that in this series there is a game with a 140-126 score and another with a 95-91 score. That's gotta be the biggest difference in scoring between games in a series.

When you've got five players hitting half or more of their three pointers and you launch 28 of them, hitting 19, breaking 120 points isn't much of a challenge.

Poor Sam-I-Am, he didn't even get to break a sweat.

I get that, but then how do you have a 95-91 game sprinkled in there? Just seems kinda odd that you have one game with a combined 266 points and then another game with only 186 points. Your talking a difference of 80 points which means that the 140-126 game had 20 more points per quarter then the 95-91 game.

One of my top 5 favorite Rockets games to watch. That Utah team was REALLY good (maybe their best ever)...Clutch City days...sigh :p

Edit: FYI, the 94-95 Jazz shot 51.2% FG for the year. Wow.
