Seriously. Do people think that the Jordan Bulls were immediately great out of the gate? They took some early exits made some tweaks until they came back better.

The Spurs haven't blown up their team after a first round exit last year. Just because you don't win a champioship doesn't mean you trade away a bunch of talented players for no reason.

The Thunder will never win anything until the second best player on the team stops dominating the ball.

Jordon didn't have Pippen shooting 80 times a game, either.

It really came down to defense. Allowing 120 pts just isnt gonna get it done.

But ya Westbrook went 10/24. Durant and Harden went 20/30. Those 2 cant take only 6 more shots than Westbrook.

One of the posters got it right. Defense was the problem

Durant is 1a, Westbrook is 1b. OKC wouldn't be as good as it is without Westbrook. OKC scored a ton of points they shoulda won but Durant and Westbrook werent D'in up

westbrook had 27/8/7 with 0 turnovers and people still find something to hate on.

the "big 3" combined for 88 points which is a ridiculous number but they just could not stop SA's offense.

thunder lose = automatically westbrook fault.

your job as a pg is to facilitate and ignite the offense. Getting your numbers does not necessarily translate into the former. case in point, Stephon Marbury's career, Allen Iverson, etc.

    the spurs scored 120.

    the problem was not offense.

Changed the title of the thread. If it is an opinion thread (which this one is), the thread title needs to be reflective of that ... there should be some news to claim "Oklahoma City to break up their big 3?" -- question mark in the title or not.

I'm sorry, Clutch! I thought it sounded like an opinion when I was making up the thread title.

...damn - now that is a knee jerk thread.

Thunder need to learn to play better team defense. Perkins' half ass shows on pick n rolls aint going to cut it and no one is really a shut down defender on that team. Sefolosha is decent but outside of that no one can shut down their position which means they need to play better as a team to hide each other's flaws.

The issue isn't that they aren't winning, the issue is the $$$$.

Harden can make the max, and Ibaka might get the 10+ range. How do you afford 3 players making the mac and 2 dude making money in the 10-12 range?

and if they shot 50% they woulda won since the pace of the game dictated a high score
