I hope he will play them both, but than there needs to be a system change. Van Persie shouldn't play from the wing. And I doubt, Van Marwijk will put Sneijder on the bench.
What would be the formation for the Dutch team? 4-4-2 with RVP and Huntelaar up front? I know RVP does very well being the sole attacker in Arsenal and their national team has the mids to provide him with quality crosses. Anyway, it's a good problem to have for Van Marwijk. In other news, Lampard is having fitness problems and soccernet is reporting that Liverpool's Henderson is up for his replacement. heh heh heh and things are only getting worse for the English team. Roy Hodgson isn't going past the World Cup, or he might even get fired after the Euros.
4-5-1 with Huntelaar on the bench in my opinion. Van Persie is a better playmaker and more unpredictable, perfect for their system.
I think this is what is going to happen. But I would be in favour of having Huntelaar as striker, and Van Persie in a free role around him (and playing 4-4-2).
i just looked up the times and they are are local time postings on the espn website, can anyone show me how to find a tv schedule that shows central standard time zone?
It's nice to know van Persie chose a different number after buying my $100 Netherlands Jersey. It'll be interesting to see if Willems will get some playing time in the defense as one of the youngest players at Euro 2012. Also with the racism and high cost we'll see which fans decide to show up. I know Netherlands had a great showing in the last World Cup and Euro in Germany:
The schedule on ESPN3 shows the time in Eastern time zone. It's separated per day but that might help you.
Who would you use as mid/strickers? Essentially, who are you benching in order to start both vP and Huntelaar?
For anyone interested, ESPN is currently doing a top 40 players for Euro 2012. Their counting down and are at #9 right now: 9. Bastian Schweinsteiger, GER 10. Arjen Robben, NED 11. Maybe heartache was strong, but when I think of my worst sports memories, the 98 World Cup Finals is right their.
I was going to say the same thing, only problem is it would affect Sneijder. So you'd really insert RVDV and leave Sneijder on the bench? That's interesting. Sneijder has not had a good time post SA2010 while RVDV has been better with Tott'ham. Maybe leaving Sneijder on the bench will inspire him, maybe it will make him pout and cause a rift. Hopefully the former. I forgot Bouma made the team. How? Why???
