i just read an article and heres what it said about rivers

The Good: He's a big time scorer who thrives with the ball in his hands. Has a sick crossover that allows him to get seperation on his jump shot. Gets to the line a lot.

The Bad: He's not an elite athlete and is a bit undersized as a two guard. He struggles when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. He can be a streaky shooter from long distance and is just a so-so free throw shooter

I watched every single game he played in Duke uniform and I say YES to Austin Rivers. Honestly think he can be a star in this league and it'd be stupid for us to pass on him if we get the chance.

UM yes I watch lee play. Both in person and on tv. You are delusional if you think Lee is a better shooter than Rivers. Aside from Beal, Rivers is one of the top shooters in this draft. Rivers will be way better offensively than Lee is right now in the NBA. Lee is nothing more than a role player on a good team. Rivers has a chance to be special and way more than a role player.

Lee a better shooter than Rivers? You made me laugh on that one. Take off the homer shades.

O.J Mayo + Ben Gordon= Rivers. Pass on him and take Ross.

We need a player like Rivers who can put pressure on the defense.

Ironically, he would have fit like a glove in Adelman's system playing the role that Mike Bibby played, but in hyper-drive.

We desperately need someone, anyone who can create shots (even if he's creating it for himself).

At the end of the day Rivers is a midget who barely passes into the SG spot. An inch smaller and he'd be a combo guard.

Ross is a much better prospect, and some draftboards have him lower than Rivers, but IMHO he'll be the better player. Ross shot a much better percentage, is taller and can play D.

take Rivers. He has the it factor. He will be the star. Dude literally destroyed Kidd Gilchrist and Brad Beal when they played in HS.

He's going to end up at the very least being a excellent penetrating combo guard in the NBA. He will be able to break down the defense off the pick and roll. If he can become a better passer, then I think he will transition nicely to the NBA.

If he falls to 16 then the Rockets would be very fortunate to take him. At 14 I feel like someone better will end up falling there, but he wouldn't be the worst pick in the world even at 14. He just would be better suited a few picks out of the lottery.

Yeah this kid's got the it factor going for sure. The kind of guy who can take over games when it matters. Only Lamb has similar qualities. Either will do.

I don't know. If he's that talented, then I'd take him 14th. I think there is a line that an undersized SG can cross that makes him worth a high pick. Mayo and Gordon didn't develop, but then you have Dwayne Wade and to a lesser extent Monte Ellis who did. Not saying Rivers has their game. But the stature can be overcome if talented enough. That is of course up to the Rockets staff to decide.

To me the biggest risk with players like Rivers is that if he fails to be that big time scorer, he's more or less deadweight. Pretty high-risk/high-reward situation. But worth a try if the Rockets trade KMart.

I have no problem with drafting Rivers. He has what it takes to be an elite scorer at this level.

I'd rather have Beal or Lamb. But Rivers would be okay, about the same level as Ross. But...No. Rather have someone else like.

We might need a player that can spot for us at PG, Rivers isn't a bad option if he is available at 16. Hopefully, out highest pick will be used toward getting us a quality young big man over 6'9".
