The Tyrells haven't gotten a lot of face time in the TV series yet except for Loras and Margaery, but it should be made clear that the Tyrell House is every bit as powerful and rich as any other house out there. IN fact, after the Starks and Lannisters have been beating each other up, they may be the MOST powerful.

It sets things up nicely for later.

    Kind of a spoiler/Book related
Would you think that King of DORN would be 4th most powerful family?

He'll get a lot of time next season, and he ends up having one of the more interesting stories imo.

Possible. They've never been conquered. I don't know about "rich" though.

    Thanks!

That's great news. He has become my second favorite character, behind Jon Snow. Well maybe third, behind Jon Snow, and Arya.

I'm also digging Jaqen H'ghar. Dude is cool as hell. I swear he looks like Brad Pitt.

not a spoiler, but a collection of facts from the season that you can draw your own conclusions from about what's going to happen:

-Loras tells Littlefinger he wants revenge on Stannis
-His sister Maergery tells Littlefinger she wants to be The Queen
-Littlefinger proposed a Lannister/Tyrell alliance to Lord Tywin
-Sansa and Joffrey are not married, only engaged
-Lord Tywin shows up at Kings Landing with Loras

The correct title would be the "Prince of Dorne". I think they would be the least powerful family, them or the post-conquest Iron Islands. They're the least populous and live in a giant desert with a few mountains, being only able to amass 10,000 men for the Battle of the Trident.

Everyone thinks that they are stronger then they really are though, mostly due to a exaggerations in a book written by a Targeryon who "conquered" Dorne.

    Another great episode.

However, as the season progresses, I find there are enough things to not like that prevent this from becoming one of the best series ever, for me. Great, certainly. And with all great series, comes a ton of questions / comments.

As has already been mentioned, the battle scenes were solid, but not spectacular. if this was supposed to be that penultimate, second to last episode of the season amazing episode because of the battle, I just didn't feel it. Last year's penultimate episode packed a much bigger punch, for obvious reasons.

I am also put off by this episode focusing entirely on the battle. There was so much time spent back and forth running to Cersei, with Cersei and Sansa, etc. I'm not saying to get rid of all of it, and I know they were trying to foreshadow certain things with certain scenes, but I feel the episode needed kind of a second major story line, so that it switched back between this battle and maybe Jon Snow, or one of the other story lines.

Yeah, I feel ya. There were some scenes that could have been shortened, to allow for some brief scenes with Jon, Theon, and Robb.

It was bad ass though. That damn grin that Stannis had was fricking funny to me. Then when he was leading the attack on the front of that row boat, dude was boss!

    That's Charlie Chaplin's grand-daughter.

Care to explain why the Hound is afraid of fire? Didn't catch it.

His brother (Gregor Clegane, The Mountain That Rides) burnt half his face off when they were kids.

You've never noticed that half of the hounds face looks like Freddy Krueger? In season 1 he recounts how he got his scars. When he was a kid his brother, The Mountain, caught him playing with one of his toys so he pushed his head into a hot brazier.
