I don't care who we give up or what we take back from Toronto I just don't want to draft 14th again unless we are drafting 8th too Lowry is expendable and for those who say future all star about Lowry please smh and now after his little cry baby rant he just had he will not be playing hard for mchale get rid of him the player we select at 8th will be better than Lowry anyway

I realize they wouldn't trade him for Lowry alone, but I had no idea his value was anywhere close to Anthony Davis or Dwight Howard. Cleveland drafting Tristan Thompson is looking worse and worse for them.

No, but they have high hopes for him. He hasn't peaked at all, yet. He's only 22 years old.

i would do it for the 8th pick + Davis, even if it's not a lock the player picked will be better than lowry, but with (almost) 3 lottery picks, we would have some nice rookies (with DMo) + Dragic (hopefully) / Patterson / Morris to start a new era ... i'd prefer to land a big FA but it wont happen i guess ...

Yes. Go after the 8th pick. Who cares if we dont resign Dragic? Rebuild anyways even if we lose Lowry and Dragic. However try to trade for the 8th pick and resign Dragic.

Lowry for the 8th pick? Where do we sign?

    Let Dragic walk, sign Nash.

Obviously thats the better option, and it might even happen. However, we all know that Portland is very high on Dragic and will pursue him first and foremost. If the Rockets are going to get the #6 draft pick and trade Lowry it will have to be after the draft on July 11th when Dragic is officially off the table for Portland.

Again, it just depends on who falls to that #8 spot. If its "their guy" then they might just go ahead and settle for #8 instead of waiting on pins and needles for Portland to accept their deal in July. They might just want to take what they can get while its there in front of them if they feel the player that went #6 is on par, or not the guy they really wanted to begin with.

Right now, I personally think the Rockets will be in talks with Toronto, Portland, and Washington the night of the draft. Those three teams will all be in play at the right price. The right deal for the team might have to wait till July though because of free agency.

So, which potential 8th pick exactly do people like better than Lowry? Perry Jones? Sullinger? Barnes?

I think a lot of you guys overrate Lowry and what we could get for him.

Nope. Battier ring a bell for you? You misunderstand that it can be done and Morey has two other picks to help it get done if he really wants the 8th pick or up. Using Lowry is not his only option to get higher in this draft. There is also the 14th and 16th pick at his disposal.

I'd rather try and get Portland to give us #6 or NO to give us #4.

NO probably wouldnt give it up but I'd still go for it.

But if we could get the 8th pick plus derozen I'd go for it
