So, by your own definition you specialize in guessing and speculation. And you admit as much in your posts? Just asking.

Nah, please feel free to question my views and opinions, including whatever "presumably informed speculation" I may espouse.

What I have to say on this BBS is not the gospel by any stretch of the imagination. Just ask guys like HMMMHMM, who have corrected me on multiple occasions when I slip up and make a mistake.

I will try to chime in on your conversations when I can, but I make no guarantees. I don't normally have the time to post in the BBS like I've been doing today and part of yesterday. I periodically run searches for my handle ("Bima*" - yeah, I know, rather vain!) to see when people are asking me questions so that I can try to answer them. Usually, another poster (like jopatmc, Carl Herrara, HMMMHMM or meh, to name a few) will answer the question before I even know it was asked.

Also, I'm not the only "capologist" on this BBS. If you ever see a cap-related post by aelliott or NIKEStrad, it's probably correct and damn good to boot. Those two know their stuff, and I wish they posted more in this BBS. The posters I mentioned above, among others, also are pretty knowledgeable about that stuff.

Bima - you get a free ride whenever you want it - your knowledge about cap dwarfs mine. And at times I depend on it to correct my inaccurate statements.

    Enough dissension. Party!

Hate to say it bloke, but most of these posts on CF would be flamed, stomped into the ground and forgotten inside a minute on some other sites.

jtr, there was a quote by Nene that hinted (ever so directly) about him being a Rocket by saying how Houston reminded him of Brazil.

    Regardless it is over with.

IMO, Morey is a good GM. Not perfect, but a pretty damn good GM.

    Flamed, again, who cares?

It is an internet message board, not real life, kid.

Kid? You must be joking. And you are saying that CF should aim for the LCD? How ambitious of you. Should I put you in that arena of posters who deliberately intend to post ideas that have absolutely no basis in reality?

Put me in whatever classification you want, it will have zero effect on anything.

So, would it be inaccurate of me to characterize you as a poster who just posts small mind farts with no base in reality, hoping to foment dissension and a very limited chaos?

All in my quest for knowledge.

You know DD, you could be so much better than that. But hell, I at times love being an arc-angel of chaos. But those times are usually short lived.

I am sincerely hoping for a denial on his part. It does not look like it is forth coming. I am saddened by that.

I didn't say they couldn't open up cap space,I'm saying they don't have it now. Any team can open up cap space, but it better to already have it with a .500 team. You know as well as I do that morey didn't amnesty thabeet @5m and didn't play, but now all of a sudden he's gonna amnesty a very productive guy like scola. He had the chance to salary dumb scola to the pacers last yr and didn't do it.

I'm an optimist, but I'm also a realist. There are teams like utah, denver, and portland that have way more firepower than the rockets. They either have better young players, better picks,or more money. That's the landscape the rockets will be competing with in this so called re-load. 2 of those teams mentioned made the playoffs. So say what you will, any so called close deal by the rockets will get trumped like always. Why? Better package. Just like portland got nj 1st rd pick for gerald wallace, but the rockets can't. I just see what I see. Best thing about this is the rockets have 2 mid picks in a deep draft. That's the best route and the other is a pipe dream.

Have they ever gotten rid of the cap holds under morey? So let's say right now they have 8m. I'm taking you guys word because I haven't looked. Let's assume they lose dragic, don't tender lee,let camby walk. What are they left with? 13m is a good number to me. I've said that its the right thing to do,but morey overvalues guys like lee. Those guys are easy to find in any draft. If it were me,I would do that and make a run at brook lopez if he's healthy. 11m would get it done probably and if nothing else, it prevents nj from trading him to orlando.
