Its ok not to drink. Dont feel like you have to. We have to worry about plently of crappy drunk drivers as it is lol
I don't drink much but when I do I only drink Blue Moon Belgian white and for a darker beer I like Negra Modelo on occasion.
Good Intro Porter Polygamy Porter Good dark beer. Not too bitter, low alcohol content, very smooth feel. This dark, medium bodied ale offers the drink-ability of a much lighter beer. The inviting chocolate and malty flavors fade into a slightly dry, silky smooth finish. Why have just one? 4.0% alcohol by volume. • 2006 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, North American Brewers' Association
That sounds pretty damn good. Friday night I will definitely be trying this and Blue Moon. Any specific place to find these drinks in west Houston, preferably outside the beltway and south of I-10? Maybe have some DosX too. My girlfriend (not the same from incident) will finish them off for me if I can't.
I used to dislike the smell and taste of beer. I don't know WHEN it happened, but I started liking beer just a bit after I got married. I gradually started drinking more and more, and now I know which beer I like, which one I don't, and when I can and when I cannot drink. If it makes you sick and you don't want to drink it, don't drink it. Start slowly at home. Don't do "tests" while at parties and drag everyone else down with you. Just start slowly with some watered-down or flavored beer, like that apple-flavored one whose name I don't remember. There's also a chocolate-cinnamon one I can't remember, either.
Go to the store and pick up a mixed 6 pack and see what beer you like. There are some good ones and some bad ones. *Pacifico *Shiner *Red Stripe *Victoria are just a couple that I like. If youre drinking until you get sick, youre doing it wrong son.
I have been enjoying Fat Tire lately... but also enjoy a good hefeweizen too. Widmer (sp?) Brothers is a good one. You don't remember when you got married?
^ Clever, but... oh, what the hell. I liked it. Good point. Most of us Mexicans are drunk while getting married, unless a bunch of cowboys arrive to our wedding and shoot us because we're "messcan police, huh?" and killed two cowboys and we don't step aside when the-founder-of-the-feast Curly Bill tells us to get on our knees and we don't.
Blue Moon and Polygamy Porter are good places to start. Try a Southern Star Blonde Bombshell, or even St. Arnold's Lawnmower. At the end of the day, it's just beer. You're putting the pilsner on a pedestal, man. Just relax, and throw one back.
OP don't listen to all the quitter talk in this thread...these people obviously support the black plague St Arnolds Amber is a good starter (local) brew peruse some of the links below and see if anything they have to offer tickles your fancy, most of them also have weekend tours where you can sample the goods... here are some links to local breweries: St Arnolds Karbach - The Rodeo Clown is a winner, but might require a little training first Buffalo Bayou - Not really much info on this site.. No Label (Katy)
Sounds like a great marriage. "I always hated beer, but as soon as I got married I started drinking more and more to get sh!tfaced to make it through every day."
 LOL! I didn't say THAT, man. I would feel bad for whomever would give THAT as a reason for drinking. That would be a poor, sad soul, and it would have my pity.
You have spelling issues. Perhaps it's the way you are drinking your beer, probably hard to concentrate.
start with fruited ones: abita strawberry lager, abita purple haze, dogfish head aprihop, shiner ruby redbird, leinenkugel summer shandy then, dial in some hefeweizens. if you can find it, get live oak on tap. if not, hoegaarden, shock top, or blue moon are easy to find in bottles. then, amber and brown ales (st. arnold amber, big sky moose drool, sam adams) by then, you're ready to get into ipas and stouts. never again will you turn back to miller and bud.
