I think it's mostly likely a draft-day trade with Lowry. Basically someone the Rockets like have to fall for them to take a flyer. I don't think they feel the draft is deep enough where they can just trade beforehand.

Lowry and scola for Gasol is questionable since Gasol doesn't want to play for rockets (rather be lakers or bulls)...plus how long will Gasol be a factor? And can he be the face of the franchise? I would take the 8th pick in a second, my personal hope is they can move couple more spots and land Beal...
I do think 8th pick is about as good as we can expect unless portland decides to trade 6th pick for Lowry (which would be awesome)...good news though regardless

All we got for the 8th pick is the no stats all star.

Imagine Lowry, mcgrady and yao on the same team in 07. Teardrop....

depends what the end game is here, and I am sure most of that depends on the Rockets draft board

if lowry nets you the #8 pick plus a TBA player...is that enough ammo along with #14 & 16 to get you the player you covet?

are we talking top 3? top 5?

the Rockets might have no choice but to have a deal in place before the draft

Maybe morey received word from dragic that he would re-sign if we deal lowry and we match the highest offer.

I prefer to keep Lowry unless it means we lose dragic.

that is a valid point... we traded 8th pick for shane and i think lowrys value is substantially above shanes...so I think they would have to give more.

Funny how the only teams that are ever after Lowry are the bottom feeders.....Cleveland and now Toronto.

Or teams that need a PG are typically bottom feeders...however you want to look at it....

Lowry for picks and James Johnson

Not seeing what else the Rockets can get for Lowry besides draft picks from Toronto.

Maybe Lowry for the 2012 8th pick, unprotected 2012 or 2013 2nd round pick, and James Johnson?

He has potential and is cheap. Plus it just adds more assets. Is that asking for too much? Not enough?

    So possibly 8th, 14th, 17th for 3rd?

Call me crazy but I don't think it would be worth it unless we get Davis, which isn't going to happen.

I haven't seen much of Beal or MKG, are they even that promising?

True, the quickest way to the bottom is to start Alston. You don't want the person who always has the ball in his hands to be your weakest link.

The only reason I see morey doing a trade like this is if someone slips, or if dragic already forced his hand and said he's less inclined to sign here if Lowry is on the team.

I think honestly this all premature...I dont think we do anything until the lotto balls are picked...if toronto gets the no 1 pick we have no chance...if they get the 8th pick they will have to give us more...but if they get say the no 3 pick... I think that for lowry and no 14 or 16 ...might be a perfect fit.

Get that 8th pick and grab Damian Lillard as your PG insurance. Just in case things don't go as planned with Dragic.

They said yesterday that Drummond lost 20 pounds and is now very quick. I'd be very interested in this deal. A Drummond/Donatas down low would be pretty dirty.

Toronto would actually be a decent team with Lowry, Valincious (spelling?), Barganni and Derozen. I actually like that line-up.

Sergio Lull would be better PG insurance. Why waste the 8th pick on PG insuarance. Draft someone with high potential or trade up even more.

James Joohnson is a potenial best defensively. I seen one game of his where he had a sh!load of blocks, boards, and steals.

I have been a fan of Bargnani from the jump and would love it if we could swing him in a move for Lowry. I see that someone posted a comment from the Raptors that Bargnani and there top pick last season are off limits, but I think if they really like Lowry they could soften their stance on Bargnani as they could still play with their top pick from last season and Davis down low.
