Naw. KG has a history of being a complete douchebag and sometimes dirty player on the court. I agree that in this instance there's really no need for there to be any uproar, but it's understandable that people hate seeing this kind of stuff because of his past. Also, KG is not an old school baller. If he tried to pull these kind of shenanigans 30 years ago, he would've gotten his clock cleaned and started behaving himself as a rookie.

Yeah but he is only a Douchebag to opposing teams. Minnesota and Boston fans love him because he gives his all and he is the guy everybody would hate playing against but love on their team. He has never gone out an intentionally hurt somebody its just the way he plays the game.

Disagree about the 30 years ago statement, think about the pistons Bad boys and how they played the game, also guys like jordan. These guys played hard did what it took to win. NBA needs more players like KG, not modern day floppers. Just my opinion though.

As a fan of basketball, I enjoy watching players like LeBron, Wade, KG, Rondo, and Pierce play. They all have forms of douchery, but ultimately it's great watching them perform at their peak. As far as who wins, if it ain't the Rockets, it really makes not a whit of difference. The Houston Rockets will always be the greatest basketball franchise ever created in the history of the sport, and its greatest players- Moses Malone, Elvin Hayes, Rick Barry, Hakeem Olajuwon, Calvin Murphy, Rudy Tomjanovich, Clyde Drexler, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, etc.. occupy a special pedestal in the NBA pantheon.

    (sniff....)

I don't get the KG hate. He doess everything ot win, is one of the most determinated guys to ever play the game. Loyal to his organizations, always sticks up for his teammates. The fans of his respective teams love him and wish nothing but the best for him. You barely see any guy in sports that is so focused on winning.

As much as I hate KG, I am rooting for him to play well and knock the Heat out. Yeah, Lebron seems to have matured a little this year but so what. I hope he, Wade, and the rest of the Heat never win a ring. In fact I hope he has to go back to Cleveland to do it.

Everyone loved KG in Minny when his teams were terrible and he looked passionate and cool.

Then Boston happened and the Celtics win and KG had his championship. And at the same time his hate increased exponentially.

I wonder if the two are connected. :p

Garnett is a piece of trash. I wish I was a doctor so if I ever saw Garnett get in a car wreck, I could NOT help him. I heard stories of him licking other players necks during games to mess with their heads. He's weird, dirty, and annoying. I also saw him yell at a 6 year old child to "GET OFF THE FU***NG COURT DUMBASS!!!" many years ago when he was playing summer ball at westside tennis club.

Hasn't tried to hurt someone the court? Yes he has. Those blindside screens he sets are malicious. And he elbows and whacks people when he gets mad.

Never been a KG fan, but I have been impressed at the way he has transformed his game in the past 5 seasons. What he does in the post and the way he can hit his fadeaway as consistent as he does may be the closest thing we see to Olajuwon in the post for quite some time.
