http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/smith_120528.html The only way I see this happen is if the Bulls give the Lakers Noah or Gibson (plus a few non guaranteed guys). Would these, or Lol Deng, be better than whatever Houston would offer (with or without Lowry)?
Maybe a three team deal involving Lowry/Scola to the Lakers and the Bulls giving us some of their pieces could work.
Let's not forget Drose is out for the season. Chicago's gap at the point is much larger than the Lakers'. Chicago has a lot of decisions to make. I think they should trade Drose for Dwight. Chicago's window is short. It would also be the best rebuilding plan for Orlando. Imagine Drose and Shabazz in 2014. I'm excited abt the lottery bc that's when the offseason has begun.
I don't know if Chicago would actually do this one, I just threw it out there out of boredom, but do you think Gasol's game would compliment Boozer better than Noah's? I think it's conceivable that it would work for all three.
Not necessarily. One of the main reasons the Lakers want to deal Pau is because of their cap situation. I highly doubt they would take back Boozer in any deal for Pau. That is where Scola would come in. Bottom line is, a deal centered around Boozer and Pau isn't really feasible in this universe. As the Bulls are getting the best piece in the deal, it isn't a really a requirement for another team to take on a poison pill from them. If the Bulls hypothetically really wanted Pau, it would take Noah or Deng. (Gibson, Asik + maybe a pick to Houston could be acceptable, but would cause a salary cap mess in Chicago.) As the Lakers already have Bynum, Noah would be routed to Houston. Just an example. By the way, I wasn't advocating anything. Was just inquiring on what the Rockets could gain from this, if anything. I didn't realize everything I say, including a hypothetical question stemming from a hypothetical scenario would be so closely monitored. There is really no reason to be rude.
Newsflash Pau.... Your going to get traded. Its not free agency where you have a choice bub. Chicago would almost have to move Boozer to make a deal with a near max level contract guy coming back in a trade. Especially when that player plays the same position as Pau. Its not gonna happen. Good try though Pau.
I'm perfectly OK with Pau going to Chicago. I never thought he was a good fit for the Rockets. He's too old to be a part of our long term plans.
I don't want pau what is morey's obsession with this guy...he's a wuss and he never shows up in important games crept his first yr in LA...also the wuss thinks he can just pick teams he's what 33?
lol there is no way in he*l Chicago would do that. They'd trade anyone else on that roster before even considering trading Rose.
Pau sees the writing on the wall....but his trade value is crap right now, between his play and his $19M per. Lakers may find that there isn't much return in that deal. They don't want to do it, but if they want to retool on the fly for one last run with Kobe, Bynum's the guy they've got to dangle.
