If you weren't being so condescending and persnickety, you would have realized it wasn't a serious post.
Why would you say I was condescending and persnickety? If I was I would have told Carl he was incorrect and then would have gone to great length posting the correct probability analysis. Which would have been tedious and pointless.
This thread is basically for draft lottery talks. If you feel it's useless then simply ignore it. Like most people, i know what our chances are and it doesn't take a rocket scientist that it is close to impossible given our odds. But then again, this was made for lottery draft discussions. So you think this thread was uncalled for because of our lottery chances? Then i'd have to disagree. I never start threads that are senseless and juvenile. It's the offseason and it's the draft lottery in two days so we choose to talk about it. If you have a problem with that then sed your complaints to clutch and have it locked.
The odds look like this, we are that tiny orange sliver: Spoiler The league needs to lotto all the top 14 picks (not just the top 3) and even out the odds more. Something like this: Spoiler
Stern owes us for the Pau trade! Since the Lottery is rigged maybe he will have some sympathy and let us get it!!!!
Totally agree about evening out those lottery odds. Now, as far as Wednesday, I will simply be happy if the Nets don't get a top 3 pick.
Certainly not the worst thread I've ever seen, but aren't there plenty of threads that serve this same purpose? It's a forum, not your personal Rockets blog.
Im in complete unison... i believe it would potentially slow(youll never stop) tanking... Even lotto select top 5... or half the teams at 14... it negates half the tank jobs like portland did at the.deadline... I hope parsons comez out lookin like that geeky kid from cleveland last year and wins a pick... that being said its a foregone conclusion were practically locked in at 14... Heres to hoping that we trade up...
I'm guessing because a top 3 would give Howard and/or D-Will a reason to want to play for the Nets. And we want those guys on the Rockets.
not when Stern has his own two horses in the race hornets with their own pick and with minnesota's pick i would not be surprised if minnesota's pick lands top 3 while the hornets stay and they up up with two of the top 5 picks in this draft or maybe both of the hornets picks land in the top 3 would not be surprised there either bottom line stern isnt going to give a rats ass about the rockets when he has the hornets in this race he needs to make that sale look like it was a great deal and this is how he could do it and further justify the paul trade
