Another question: Why is Stannis so firmly believing that Joffrey is an illegitimate King? Does he believe the rumors that Joffrey isn't truly his brother's son?
Green fire = wild fire Red fire = something else (like lamp oil) The wild fire kicked everything off but then anything flammable took off.
If I recall Ned got a letter off to Stannis once he found out about the incest, before he was taken prisoner. And the previous Hand before Ned may have confided his suspicions to Stannis as well but they couldn't come to the king without proof.
Stannis knows. When Ned Stark discovered the truth, he sent word to Stannis on Dragonstone, knowing that Stannis was the true heir to Robert's crown. I think Stannis already suspected and might have even been helping Jon Arryn when he discovered the truth before Ned.
Stannis would not confront Robert with it while he was alive. I mean . . . .If Robert were to find out .. . He might have named Renley heir. Cause Robert was a d*ck like that . . . Rocket River
When Tyrion brought the Lannister army through the tunnels out on the beach, the attention to detail for the battle went out the window and it became very sloppy. Stannis's army stood there with open arms for the Lannisters to slice them open, showing no resistance at all. All the bodies on the floor from the battle disappeared and the siege army thinned from hundreds to dozens. All the kill shots were laughably "Walking Dead"-esque, too. As much budget as they poured into this episode, you'd think they could hire better fight choreographers. That was a big criticism of season 1, too. I know it doesn't detract from the overall picture of the story, but that fight scene left a poor taste in my mouth.
Watched it again. Now it makes sense that the Hound is afraid of fire and had a panic attack when guys on fire were running around him. Great episode. Seeing Cersi on a bender was like rubber necking a car wreck.
I have a feeling some really nude scenes there's a body double for her. Obviously you can almost tell by the way the scene was shot with her head being obscure.
I was under the impression that only a small party had been sent to the Mud Gate by Stannis. So Tyrion was able to overpower them. Then you do see a big force of Stannis army running, but Tywin and his forces were able to reach at the same time. I think Tyrion will realize that he was backstabbed by either Joffery or Cersi when his own soldier tried to kill him.
I think Tyrion will know it was either of them that ordered, after watching the episode again last night I think he had the sad realization that one of his family members tried to kill him, think he did feel untouchable up to that point. Since Tywin is at Kings Landing now, does that mean he'll take over as the Hand of the King?
Its nice for the Lannisters that Tywin and his forces are at Kings Landing, but the place they were protecting is left defenseless now. What the hell is Rob up to?
That's kind of what I was wondering. I assume Tywin won't be there for long since his advisor told him that Rob wouldn't attack until they were at full strenght. Guess he took a chance and will make haste back to Casterly Rock.
