Name me 10 shooting guards in the NBA that are better than Kevin Martin. You have to evaluate a player on both sides of the floor. Yes, he's a terrible defender. And he's one of the most efficient scorers in the entire league.

Wade, kobe, manu, harden, gordon, johnson, iggy, terry, evans, matthews. A couple of them are reaches but it is pretty close. (Just wanted to respond to the naming 10 sgs challenge )

I love this article. Especially after the stunt Lowry pulled over the past couple of days.

Kobe, Harden, Manu, Iggy, Wade, Johnson, Thornton, Gordon, Affalo, Ellis.

    6-10 are arguable though.

Dragic has better court vision and is a better finisher.

So then Dragic should make the All-Star team next year

Hahah the NBA is different now, Refs are not going for that crap that Kevin Martin used to pull to get to the line. Me personally as a Rockets Fan i hated to have to cheer for that stuff, this year he along with many other offensive floppers ( Wade, Durant) FT numbers have come down by a LOT , the difference is that those guys do not rely on Free-Throws to score 90% of their points like Kevin Martin does

Listing the Top 10 SG's in the NBA is a moot point, simply because the SG position is probably the weakest its ever been at in NBA History. Even KoBrick said he had no rivals. At least MJ had Grant Hill, Mitch Richmond, Reggie Miller, and Steve Smith

It bums me out that Kyle has been vocally expressing his disgruntledness, but anyone who thinks that Dragic is better than a healthy Lowry hasn't been paying attention.

Kyle Lowry might be the best point guard to have a Bachelors in Art.

Much as I hate to say it. Kevin Martin is a top 15 shooting guard, and probably a top 10 if he ever managed to stay healthy on a consistent basis. As those of us who play fantasy basketball are well aware of, the SG position is probably the weakest in the NBA right now.

I do disagree about his efficiency though. The guy's a 44% career shooter. When I watch him, it always seems to me like he should be shooting closer to 50%.

Kevin Martin of 2010 season was top 7 if not top 5 in the league. Too bad he turned garbage this season. The SG position is still shallow as hell though in the league

Nah, I moved on from the AB vs Lowry debate, I think that Lowry is not as good as Dragic because it is true.

No more offensive flops... which is a good thing for the NBA overall . Lowry does this sometimes too

I think you don't understand the concept of a high ceiling with such a statement. Having a higher ceiling means having more potential. Having a high(er) potential and reaching the apex of said potential are different things.

IF Dragic has a higher ceiling AND he reaches it he MIGHT make an all-star team, though if he's a fan favorite and makes a name for himself outside of Houston his chances increase.

I agree about Lowry, I said I prefer lowry over Dragic. He's more proven, but Dragic showed signs of putting up Derrick Rose like numbers, while Lowry put up Rondo type numbers.

As great as Lowry is, he's probably not gonna get too much better.

We really should be looking at this as a win-win. The fact that we can choose between to top 12 PGs is a luxury that most teams don't get.
