I love you man, I really do, you're a bulldog of a PG and your energy is second to none. I've always enjoyed watching you play, you always play at 110% and that's something not many millionaire basketball players do anymore. I get it, you feel slighted that and want out. I know Dwight Howard just forced Orlando's hand and they fired the coach, but you aren't a 7 foot behemoth who sells jerseys left and right while winning multiple defensive player of the year awards en route to being one of only a handful of good centers in the NBA this day in age. You are Kyle Lowry, you have no all star appearances, hell most people outside of Houston,Memphis, or Philadelphia probably barely know your name, you have no credo in this league. I want you to realize that you're being paid about $6M/year, that's about 60 times what a pretty successful citizen of this city makes to be a pretty mediocre 6 foot tall PG. You need to understand that McHale isn't Gregg Popovich but he does have a ring or two which is something you don't have, so in the mean time, just shut up and play ball man. And someone remind Lowry that Dwight was a #1 overall pick,20 rebound threat on any night, a terrific defender and an annual MVP candidate....the only guy who thinks Lowry has a shot at MVP is Clyde drexler but he also but luis scola on the same level and Kobe and Durant...btw anyone have the audio of that game when Clyde said that...he said scola puts the ball in the basket just like Durant or whatever haha
eddiewinslow, first of all you don't love Lowry. Second of all don't be a hypocrite, you either flame both Lowry and Howard or you defend them both. Everybody is created equal, what's with this privilege of judgement? Go take a shower and go to sleep.
I still remember people saying they wouldn't trade lowry for d.will which in my opinion was idiotic. This is the problem with fans they end up being biased and it tends to cloud their judgement until something like this happens and reality syncs in. Lowry is an above average pg but he ain't nothing special. Put him on the trading block i am sure teams like the kings and blazers will come calling.
Lowry is not ranked below all these guys. Get off the sauce tonight. He is right around that 11 to 13 area. Easily can compete and beat guys nightly up till the 7th spot. Lets get off Rubio. He is not that good either.
Count me on the Lowry side of things. Yeah I was against Brooks, but I'll take Lowry against McHale AND Dragic. One word separates him from the rest of the marginal players we have on our roster--HEART. The end. Bacteria, you may infect his gastrointestinal tract, but you will never get to his cardiovascular system! Beat beat. Hell yea. A Rocket fan's gotta take a stand somewhere and not just keep pointing his nose in the direction of the wind to avoid smelling the farts. Kyle Lowry, you are most definitely not a fart.
To Lowry's credit, he expressed his misgivings about McHale early in the season. Remember that post-game interview after our first loss to MINN? It was not because of Dragic's breakout play that Lowry became pissed. He doesn't trust McHale as a coach. Lowry at least gave the FO fair warning that he doesn't want to play for the coach rather than sulking and letting it affect his game later on.
I agree with Spacemoth and nbafever. And to the OP, I'm upset too but he has a right to disagree with the coach. He didn't ask les to fire mchale and morey. He acknowledges that he should be moved. Especially since mchale and dragic seem to be BFF. Has anyone here ever asked their boss to be reassigned?
McHale is the one that is overrated here... But no matter who is the coach rockets need better players
Yep and yep. What did KLow do? That's right he competed hard, with heart, at a high level. Always. Then got injured and ill. So what does he do then? He rushes back. I want Lowry traded and Dragic back. Not becaise I prefer Goran to run the team but it's close enough and this gives DM the GM a great trade ASSET. BTW - - speaking of hate, what's up with the word, "asset"? Golly sheesh.
