Fair enough. I still don't think 3.5 games is enough to merit inclusion among the top 100 performances of 2011. The terms have been established. If you want to add $10, sure, why not.
I don't necessarily think there are 10 better WRs; but I think they are 10-ish WRS who had better '11 seasons. Arian will be top 15. It didn't initially occur to me that playoffs would be incorporated - I was in "MVP, regular season-only" voting mode - but if they are, Arian is a lock for top 15, with top 10 a legit possibility, and AJ's chances improve dramatically.
I don't think so either, but it's obviously not what this list is solely representing, see McFadden, Darren. I decline your terms and offer mine as a counter proposal. If you're not interested (not sure why you wouldn't be, since you seem fine doing them in addition to your yours), then fine. Kind of a silly thing to be betting about in the first place anyway.
A graphic last night indicated there are 42 AFC players on the list; 26 have been identified, leaving 16 slots. No-brainer, no doubt locks ('11 rank): 01. Brady (1) 02. Lewis (4) 03. Reed (5) 04. Troy P. (6) 05. Revis (8) 06. Ngata (17) 07. Harrison (21) 08. Foster (25) 09. MJD (30) 10. Suggs (40) 11. Ben (41) 12. Welker (50) 13. Rice (56) 14. Gronk (NR) That leaves two slots with, by my count, 11 players who are in the conversation, including two WRS who had better statistical '11 seasons than AJ: Gates (22) R. Wayne (31) D. Bowe (45) N. Mangold (47) C.Wake (63) T. Hall (64) R. Seymour (66) A. Hernandez L. Webb E. Weddle M. Yanda ======= I think it's going to be near-impossible for AJ to jump very many of these names.
Don't know if its online (I couldn't find it) - but the NFLN promo for #s40-31 ever-so briefly featured................. JJ Watt. I know the last one prominently featured Peyton Manning so they're not above flat-out featuring picks but - Watt top 40? Seems way high. But intriguing nonetheless.
I think the fact that he was a rookie and already contributed so much helps a lot. He is young and probably will be one of the best dline men in the league for the next 8 years or so.
Considering Von Miller the DROTY has already been announced i doubt Watt would be ranked this high right now. Would be cool though.
Man, oh, man - people have *scattered(!)* from this thread... Tamba Hali made the list last night. So we're down to 30 players; 15 will be from the AFC. And I still maintain 14 of those are no-brainer locks: 01. Brady 02. Lewis 03. Reed 04. Troy P. 05. Revis 06. Ngata 07. Harrison 08. Foster 09. MJD 10. Suggs 11. Ben 12. Welker 13. Rice 14. Gronk So that very likely leaves only one slot available...
We're waiting on the results, not much else to talk about in the meantime. It also might be that nobody really gives a s***, though. That'd be my guess.
