    1) Lowry has a all-star level first half of the season. He has been proved one of the toughest PG on court. Some relationship issue between him and Coach at the end of the season is not all his fault.

    2) Dragic has about 10 brilliant games the whole season. Then it is Dragic as starting PG, Rockets lost all key games at the end of the season. I can't say it is his fault we lose. You know why, other team started to take care of him defensively for these games, he has not proved he can stand up for us in the most important games. He is an above average PG in the league, but can't make rockets a competitor in the future. I don't hope Rockets throw in Rondo type contract for him. (starting $10M)

    3) We need a young point guard from 2012 draft.

And reward Lowry for his publicity stunt? Uh, no, under no circumstances.

Lowry is at his peak !!!

    Sell high.... !!!

His body shape is prone to injury and early decline..

    His fat shapped...

A point guard with that body shape does not last long

Future Baron Davis with a more arrogant note. Do not want him on this team anymore.

I think the air will clear for both of them once they are crowned as King PG. I am not worrying to much about it.

I think the Rockets will get rid of Lowry...but I don't understand why everyone's upset at what Lowry said. The man is a competitor...he's played starting PG caliber basketball in the NBA, and he's saying he'd rather not stick around if they're going to have Dragic be the starter. Of course he feels that way.

He's not saying it midseason...he's not throwing the team under the bus...everyone on that roster understands entirely, except for the ones just there to cash a check.

Agree. Dragic is inconsistent for his whole career, and all of a sudden he performed right before the free agency but fail to lift the team later on. Historically that's where most regrettable contracts were rewarded.

We see how Battier was so valuable until a second rounder-Parsons showed almost similar defensive ability in his rookie season. Late first rounder Faried is already similar, if not better than the once so hot Nene at a fraction of his cost. Teams didn't want to lose Joe Johnson/Scola for nothing, and were later trying hard to get rid of those contracts without success. Teams stole Amare, Brand in free agency with big long contracts and are in cap hell with little hope.

Dragic is an inconsistent PG with hot performance lately. He should be valued less than Lowry who was consistently improving in his career with short stretch of subpar recent performance after injury.

Don't kid yourself, David. He alone won't net us those players..... In a package perhaps... at best.

he flops, he acts like a diva, and when healthy his numbers in three categorie.. points, rebounds and assists are top 7 for his position. congrats kyle, you've reached nba borderline all star level.

If I'm maury, I'm playing my michael buble playlist, track 4,"home", and saying to myself what have gotten myself into. =)

Lowry was slowing down long before he actually broke down. His numbers were falling well before the break. He was outstanding off of the bench, but I don't think he can withstand playing with the same intensity for an entire season as a starter...ever. Can Dragic play with the same energy for an entire season...we don't yet know? We just know Lowry likely never will. Sell high before the rest of the league realizes this.

Lowry has always been a transition player, and gritty competitor, but his skills have never been elite, he doesn't have elite athleticism, is not overly quick, can't defend quicker PGs one on one.

And is not a great half court passer.

He is an ABOVE average starter....

But Dragic has so much more upside, he is a better athlete, quicker, better dribbler, better passer, better at attacking the basket and finishing and a better one on one defender....and he is not undersized.

The Rockets are making a decision for the betterment of the Rockets, I know it hurts to trade your favorite player, but hey, you get over it.

Maybe we can sign Brooks as a backup.

    ;)

Too late to keep Lowry. Resign Gogi and trade Lowry.

    Agree with the OP.

    It's the cheaper option.

The goal is not to be a CHEAP franchise.

The goal is to win a championship.

They don't give trophies and rings for being cheap, well, unless you are Donald Sterling !

But if your cheap you have more cap space to sign bettef players and thus not stuck with sh!tty contracts...
