You could see this coming as soon as Goran blew up as the starter. Lowry is smart he knows Goran is better than him and he does not want to be a back up again. As for trade value, it does not change much, folks around the leagur know what Kyle can do there will be plenty of suitors. Get r done Daryl. DD
You know, the entire offseason on GARM so far has been to trade Lowry for everything from a draft pick to part of a Gasol/DHoward package. Yet now that Lowry is annoyed, it's blame on everyone from Lowry himself to the coach/GM/organization. What I actually find ironic is that IMO, the Rockets are the ones that LEAST want to move Lowry. Lowry wants to the star PG on a team. He doesn't want to share that limelight with another player. So he wants a situation where he can be the no-doubt starting PG. Fans want Lowry out because it either gets us a draft pick for rebuilding, or trade him for a better player to contend. The Rockets, OTOH, has Lowry under contract for 2 more years at bargain price. They actually don't really need to trade Lowry if they don't have to. Sure, he may be necessary in a trade for Gasol or Howard or anyone else. But the Rockets probably would be fine with Lowry and Dragic playing 30+ mpg each, with a dual-PG set at times. So despite all this hatred, I'm willing to say that Lowry wants out of Houston more than the Rockets want to move Lowry.
Here we go. I hope everything turns out for the best. I just don't want for this to drag on and become a distraction.
Why is this Slovenian baby getting all the attention? Waaaaaa! Waaaaaa! Me Me Me Me Me! Waaaaaa! Lowry just pulled a semi T-Mac by lowering his trade value for Houston. I see that as childish, immature and selfish. Could've been an All-Star...SMH.
Not sure why you all are getting so worked up over Lowry being 'disgruntled'. He's shown the clear chops to be an above average NBA starter, and his backup suddenly morphed into an also above average NBA starter who seems much more likely to start for the team this year. Lowry shouldn't be like "ok, cool, I'll stay on the bench then". I'm not against sending Lowry off for the right price, not at all. But to blame him for saying the same thing that some here were already saying just a handful of games into Dragic's starting gig (that neither of them is a long term backup) is stupid.
Well, shouldn't he be entitled to start, according to some posters. He's a top 10-12 point guard. He's such a good player shouldn't he have a lock down somewhere on a starter spot.
Yes, the Rockets would would be fine with both of them, but it looks obvious to me that neither Lowry or Dragic would be fine with it.
LA would definitely take him. Him and kobe will have fun yelling at each other though  let's try and get bynum while we're at it instead of gasol. Maybe morey can get bynum to say "I want out of LA"
I can't believe we're criticizing the guy because he wants to be a starter. I'd criticize him a lot more if he didn't. None of us knows what went on with him and McHale. DD, I promise you that Lowry at least believes he's better than Dragic. You may not believe that...but you don't get where Lowry has gotten in his life thinking that someone is better than you when they're as closely separated as Dragic and Lowry are. He wants to start because he's proven himself to be a capable starter. If he doesn't start here, he'll start somewhere. I can't blame him for wanting that.
