What's the feelings of getting a big guy from Utah? Right now they have Jefferson (18,9), Millsap (12,11), Favors (12,10) and Kanter (4,4). I think trading for Favors would be a great move, but getting Kanter might be more realistic and in the long run would be a smart play as well. We have picks and young talent we could throw their way. Totally speaking of hypotheticals here, but with their corps of big men they may be willing to move one.

He never actually played for UK so no, I really don't. But in the games he's played more then 20 minutes, he's put up some solid numbers for a rookie. And to answer the above poster, because 4 starters is too many, and come next year with a head under Enes' belt, that's exactly what they'll have. For the same reason you can't keep two starting PG's (ring a bell?).
I would prefer Kanter or Favors, but their value is still high. I wouldn't mind trading Lowry in a package for one of them. I just emailed you.
Pretty sure Jefferson is the only one that might be available due to him about to hit FA and while he is IMO one of the strongest post scorers in the NBA, brother has had injury issues for years. Not a gamble I would take unless the price was right but some other foolish team will try to land him via over paying.
Kanter or Favors would be a steal, but I don't think the Jazz are willing to move either of them. If they are, the price will be steep. I think we could strike a deal for Jefferson, but he's just not as exciting as he used to be. Man Kanter and/or Favors would be wonderful.
I seen Jefferson in Houston recently. I just didn't post a thread about it cause I don't have any pictures. Maybe he might sign with Houston. That was the first thing that came to my mind when i seen him.
Utah would undoubtedly be interested in Lowry. He would be a good fit there and would be the one piece they need to move into contention. They're not going to turn loose of Favors (who may be a bust anyways). Millsap is a very productive guy but he's on his last year and fixing to get paid again. Really don't see a fit here.

Jefferson is a liability on the PnR and a bit turnover prone, but I have become accustomed to those qualities in a dominant post scorer over the past 10 yrs. Great fit next to defensive bigs...is re-signing Camby a foregone Conclusion at this point?
He may be a liability in PnR i dunno that much... but he is definatly not turnover prone... hes got a very good turnover ratio and is better limiting turnovers than any of our frontcourt players...
This has already been mentioned elsewhere, but so it is not perpetuated, Jefferson's career TOPG is 1.5 per 30mpg. This past season you ask? A flat 1.0 TOPG per 34mpg. The man is 27 years old, can play PF/C- is a legit 19-9-2bpg player. Why are we downplaying his dominance? Al Jefferson is a solid player, and one I would love to see land in Houston. I feel like to be successful in the NBA, you need either a high scoring athletic wing, or a big dominating center. Jefferson would be a step in the right direction.
