Also add the fact that 2K servers suck and are either down half the time or lag during the game. That's the worst.
I always consider it being people who exploit glitches to their advantages or do the same things over and over and over. AKA people who don't play real basketball (which is very hard to find online). For example, people who play with the heat and play ONLY with Lebron bc he can dunk over anyone, etc.
ah... that's hard to do though if you know someone who plays good D. I think it's a lack of understanding of the finer mechanics of 2k defense... dunks can be stopped, especially if the person continues to do them.
Think of the 2k11 spin dunk which was an animation that couldn't be stopped in most cases. Or pump faking in the paint til a cpu player jumps up(they always will) and drawing the foul. Or running to a teammate that is standing near baseline in the corner. He will cut to the basket and the defender will be too slow to follow, leading to an easy bucket.

In 2k11 (or was it 10?) Some dude I played would take Wade and when I bought it up the court, he'd pull my PG into a animation and would draw a charge. He didn't do this for the entire game, but when he needed to do it, he did it and it worked.. Also just avoiding him was not that simple because my PG was pulled into it. That's cheese and that's why I hardly ever play online. Just franchise and myplayer. Too many exploits in sports games and the devs don't ever worry about 'balancing' them like other competitive games because after all...it's sports. Some teams are going to be better....it sucks though because the online would be as addictive as other Online games if the devs would work harder to eliminate spin-dunks and crap. I don't know what cheese is in 2k12 though, only played online a few times. I usually just stick to the offline modes and play with people in person.
Idk if this is hacking but sometimes in the game, my framerate freezes up on offense and I can't control what's going on. On defense, the other guy always gets layups as well as my screen messes up. Is this just my internet? It only happens certain games

Finally gave in and played with the Heat. They are pretty badass if you are use to playing a team game and really are unstoppable. There is a rule amongst my rl friends that we dont use the Heat. But i keep blowing out everyone online when I play with them so it isn't fun
Play with the Detroit Pistons. Yeah I know you're probably laughing but I have yet to lose with them against Miami or OKC online. Rodney Stuckey is like Jordan on there plus they have a lot of shooters.
