I am not surprised a lawyer wouldn't take your case considering it's all hearsay and they can't PROVE it in court. I believe you though, Austin landlords and management companies are sketch as hell.

Did you try calling Austin Tenants council? Last time I had problems with my landlords they were very helpful and even directed me to a cheap lawyer. Look them up and give them a call.
