Also bad call by Vogel to get away from the trap. It was effective.

Umm the only reason the Cavs have Irving is because Lebron left and they stunk the whole year and got a #1 overall pick.

Time for Indiana to blow up their team and start from scratch. No Superstar and no high draft picks. They have no choice.

Do rocket fans still want Granger?

actually the cavs traded mo williams to the clippers for baron davis and a firs round pck and tat pick wound up getting them the #1 overall pick.

but if lebron stayed then mo williams would have mos likely stayed as well.

So is it fair to say the following occurred:

    - Heat lose Bosh and fall down 2-1
    - LeBron has a once in a lifetime game to get them back to 2-2
    - Wade beasts in G6 but LeBron closes (6 of final 8 and team leading 10 in the 4th)

    ??????

Pacers are a glorified Rockets team. Sad.

Despite all the hoopla, Heat win in 6 just like I voted when this thread was first created. All those people (like robbie380) that bought the hype and thought the Pacers would win when Bosh went down let their emotions (primarily their hate for the Heat) get the best of them. The poster 'meh' even implied that the Pacers were going to the NBA Finals, lol, smh.

Ultimately, the Pacers couldn't back up all their talk with actions on the court and were defeated despite the Heat playing without Bosh for pretty much the entire series. The Heat should dismantle either Philly or Boston and head to the Finals again.

An important development for Miami is that their role players are starting to show up. Haslem, Chalmers, Miller, Anthony, and even that scrub Battier played well at different points during the series. Thus, the Bosh injury may have been a small blessing in disguise for them. Couple that with the fact that the Heat will get some extra rest as a result of ending the series tonight and the other semi-final going to 7 and they look to be in good position with hca going to the ECF, especially with Bosh projected to be back soon (it was reported he could come back for a game 7 against Indiana if necessary, which means he'll be ready by the middle of the ECF at the latest).

Granger may br traded for Eric Gordon.

He lives in Indy still, and he wants to play there.

Healthwise it would be a gamble, but he's the type of shot creator that they totally lack.

Bird has also apparently talked to Nash.

    Nash
    Gordon
    George
    West
    Hibbert

bench Collison, Hill, Hansbrough, better backup C signed as FA.

Yeah, I can totally see why New Orleans would trade Eric Gordon for Danny Granger.

Benson might not be willing to start out giving an injury prone two guard a max contract. Granger and a first round pick is not a bad deal for them.

Not sure about the need for Gordon if you have Nash. You may think I'm saying this because I'm a Rockets fan, but I think Kevin Martin instead of Gordon in that lineup would look better. Martin should benefit greatly from a passer like Nash, and his mediocre defense can be covered by George and Hibbert.

Just as I predicted. Game 3 SHOCKED me. But I knew eventually James and Wade will catch fire and the Pacers have no chance of staying with them.

If Bosh played, this would have been a sweep.

Over last three games: LeBron+Wade 197, Pacers' entire starting lineup 184.

That is ridiculous. This was more about the Pacers being weak than the Bosh-less Heat being strong. In the first couple of games, LeBron and Wade had to work hard for everything they got. In the last 2 games, their points came very easy.

You really thought "that" Pacers D would give James/Wade problems for a WHOLE series? The Pacers defense is good; it's not great. We're not talking about the Bulls/Celts D here. It was inevitable James/Wade would explode. That game 3 loss basically woke those 2 up. They were on "cruise control" since the start of the playoffs.
