I remember when the Cubs had the #2 pick. They picked some guy from USC.

I've watched more 'Stros baseball already this year than all of last year. This young team is very fun to watch. A sweep of the Cubs is beyond nice!

The point is, it really doesn't matter to me if they lose pointless games. We're definitely NOT a playoff team, this was known from even before spring training. I don't mind losing games just to have more choices at the top, regardless of finding superstars at the top or not.

I was at the game in 1911 where they deliberately walked 5 guys in a row in the bottom of the 9th to turn a 1 run lead into a loss.

    ....and neither are the Astros.

2 ****ty teams went at it and our ****ty team beat your ****ty team's ass.

A respectable fan would would be making excuses(bad calls, injuries, etc.) for why his team failed, but instead you are playing the "..oh yeah, well we should have lost because we are the worst team in baseball" card.

Shame on me for thinking a Cubs fan would be respectable. I'll kick my own ass now.

lol What? So now I'm not respectable because I'm expecting what reality really is?

All I really said was I predicted right on the sweep and the fact that I don't mind losing because this team isn't going anywhere. It's not about being respectable, I'm not taking anything away from the Astros winning. We're in a bubble situation right now with this team. We have some bad contracts and we're still waiting to go out and use some money in free agency. That's all. I'm not one for excuses anyway, this team is just plain bad. That's the reality.

Yes the Astros are a non-playoff team too, but they're also definitely a better team.

It was obvious that you don't mind losing.

    You're a Cubs fan.

The beauty of these comments is that you could say them for about 98 of the last 100 years of Cubs baseball.
