Why don't you get the **** out of this thread? Trolling a thread about a serious car accident involving a cf.net brother is a new low for you. Nobody wants you here, Manny least of all. Have an ounce of respect for the first time in your life.

 

And I don't blame Manny for refusing a donation from somebody he doesn't like and that he feels is kicking him when he's down. Money can't buy his love.

I appreciate his sensitivity to the topic, but his post was unnecessary. Manny had already acknowledged his mistake, and used his testimony as a warning. For someone to come in and lecture him, serves no purpose, and isn't helpful to a guy going through pain, and trying to recover.

 

No ****. He can start a new thread to lecture people about cell phones and driving. It was way uncool of him to knock somebody that just got done learning that lesson in a very hard way.

 

I posted the same sentiments in the SacTown thread in the feedback section, completely understand why SacTown leaves CF. This is a touching subject to him and he's 100% right on his statements. He even decides to spend a lot of money to help Manny. Manny somehow flips out, doesn't believe it and calls him out after like half a day with no money in, makes some very rude comments and accusations. Then a bunch of other guys here jump in and go mental on SacTown, even calling for a ban and cursing him out.

I sincerely hope SacTown cancels his donation, the people here sh!tted on him for no reason while he was being generous and said the truth.

For the record, SacTown apologized and I accepted his apology. I don't like his trolling but when he explained things in his apology, it is okay. I just feel uncomfortable accepting such a big donation. He can use that money for better use than giving it to me. And although he acted dickish (but did apologize), it is like he said - he can't hold a candle to SwoLy.

 

Regarding Sactown...Its fine if Manny doesnt want to take his money, thats completely understandable...but Manny did try to call him out in front of everyone. So, at the least, when evidence is shown that he did donate, I find it odd to reply in that manner.

Wow. This is why I stopped frequenting the board so much and really stick to posting in benign stuff like movie threads. The conversation and sense of community you can find here can be nice, but dealing with the signal to noise ratio is not worth the time. Between the intentional and unintentional trolls it's not worth fretting over. Whenever I think people can't sink so low or be that dumb this board (and the rest of the internet) reminds me of it. You're better off not replying and just quickly moving on. Don't get sucked into it although I know how hard it can be to ignore. It gets easier the more you do it.

On the other hand Manny's reveal is a good reminder of something most of us have done and still do and to always take it seriously. Thanks for sharing and glad to hear you are making a recovery.

Really? Because, rightly or wrongly, this kind of thread is the exact reason I DO frequent the board so much. Not sure what that says about me, but whatever.

A little dark humor never hurt anyone. I relied on it a lot during my tough times a few years ago.

Obviously, 99% of us wouldn't be making light of any of this if Manny wasn't already home and on his way to a full recovery.
