The visuals in this one is promising in the trailer. The first one was so typical of action films of today. This one looks like big budget version of those "American Ninja" movies but with good choreography.
Looks better than the steaming pile that was the first....but it's not a GI Joe film anymore...like others said, it's totally MI.
The first movie sucked so hard it could've started a leaf blower (credit goes to Bill Paxton). This reminds me a little bit more of the 3 Transformer movie where everything was a bit more grown up instead of having Marlon Wayans and Oscar Nominated Channing Tatum bantering. My new rating system. My desire to watch in theaters - 3.5 due to the explosions and stuff. My desire to rent this movie - 6 due to explosions and stuff. My desire to torrent this movie - 7.5 due to being free
The Rock is in this? Hell Yeah! If ya smelllllllllllllll what The Rock..............................IS COOKIN!
I had very low expectations for the first, I expeced a horrible plot and cheesy lines. Even with my low expectations I thought they could have done the first a lot better. Overall I enjoyed the movie though and plus it's still GI Joe and my childhood being revisited I will watch this one w/ equally low expectations but based on the trailer I expect this to be better than first
bumpity, bump, bump fo' real. this would really suck if true... gi joe retaliation pushed back for a year?
From everything I've read it's true, Ted is being moved up into it's spot on the calender. 9 month delay.
I think it's s smart move. This summer is just too packed with actioners. Better chance to set itself a part next year.
damn maybe i should have gone to the screening of this movie then could have said i saw it well over a year before release i am sure this probably upset the rock who did all that wwf stuff to help promote the movie i am sure he doesnt want to do all that anymore and put his body through crap if he doesnt have to
By Garth Franklin Wednesday January 23rd 2013 11:37PM Paramount Pictures will air an exclusive, action-packed four-minute preview for "G.I. Joe Retaliation 3D" in theaters this weekend. The clip will appear in front of fantasy adventure "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters". In the lead-up, the studio has released a 90-second segment of the four-minute clip showcasing some never-before-seen ninja action featuring Byung-Hun Lee and Ray Park <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZlVTixccIHQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/26010/-g-i-joe-retaliation-ninja-trailer I avoided the original flick but even against my better instinct I keep thinking this might be watchable fun…..
that looks terrible. Human movement still can't be caught right with CGI. It looks like the original Spiderman cgi when he's jumping across buildings. Crap.
I still can't believe people actually like/enjoyed the first one. It was horse****, to put it bluntly.
It was horse****, but it was check-your-head-at-the-door, entertaining horse****. Bruce Willis and The Rock? This one has cheese written all over it, but I'll probably watch it.....on Blu-Ray.
