And now, you're assuming things about me.

You think again, because I recognize that Michael Jordan was a great player and already a champion, that I side with him. Showering Hakeem with praise for his greatness around here is what we all do, tinman. It's only been just recently, since Hakeem got formally inducted in the Hall of Fame, has anybody outside of the Houston area really acknowledged how great a player Hakeem Olajuwon was.

I said that the Rockets had more of a chance than anybody else at that time did because of Hakeem to beat the Bulls.

I never did well in math at school, but I think that "...more of a chance..." is a lot more than "...ZERO..." chance.

What do you think, tinman? The Rockets sweep the Bulls in 1994? The Rockets win in 5 games? Six, tops? They had the Bulls' number. They'd give a whole new meaning to the term "...running of the Bulls...", right?

Like I said, I get the "fanatic" part of being a fan. But I like watching good basketball and good basketball teams, too.

A part of me still wishes that Dream had leveled Dennis Johnson in the '86 title round against Boston, just on general principle, when that scuffle between Ralph Sampson and that Schiting guard broke out. And I actually liked Dennis Johnson (back from when he and Slick Watts in the backcourt won a title for Seattle in '79). But that part of me grew up eventually.

The best part of the whole thing, to me, watching the Rockets win? Nobody could argue about it. No "assumptions". No matching "facts" or "stats" with wishes or fan i.d. checks.

I wanted the Rockets to win so bad in 1986 I got thrown out of school for fighting with some kid about it. He thought that Boston was a better team then. We both loved the Rockets, but we fell out over that. He did then, what you're pissing on me about doing now, and that's seeing more than what you want or hope to see.

And it made more sense then, because at least the Rockets got a chance to play the Celtics then and prove him wrong.

The Rockets never got that chance against the Bulls. That's the only thing I'm mad about in this whole thing. Because whatever you think of me, we would all have our answer if those teams had played the game.

And just for the record, I'd have fought somebody for the Rockets to win that series, too...

Give it up, arguing with tinman is like arguing with an autistic kid. He once said that I hate Hakeem and am a fake fan because I said the MVP award is a farce.

It only took you a few thousand words to get your actual view on the topic.

My view is that I'm confident like Clutch's take on this subject.

Just like 86. The Rockets weren't suppose to beat the Lakers right? Magic, Kareem, Showtime. Oh wait. we did beat them.

According to you, it's a farce because your favorite player never won one.

What else is a farce? The DPOY? Rookie of Year? NBA Championship? the NBA?
    Men in Black 3?

I don't even know who you're talking about. NBA Championship is not a farce because you don't vote for it. Anything else I don't count as a valid resume stuffer. Is Kobe really the 2nd best defensive player in his position this year?

Anyways, I'm not going to argue with you again, tinman. I don't argue with r****ded people knowingly. I did back then because I wasn't sure how delusional you were but I've seen enough now, good bye.

And like I said, when you don't have any respect for anybody else, their take wouldn't matter to you anyway.

They should have played and it would have been settled.

Maybe that's why Jordan ran off that year, huh? To get away from the ass-kicking the Rockets were waiting to give him?

We can rehash that old thread if you want, but what is your take on this subject?

I'm assuming you, based on your takes, experienced the 90s NBA.
What do you tell someone if they said

"Hey so, when the Rockets with Dream played Jordan and Bulls before he 'retired', what happened?"

What do you say? (In 4-5 sentences)

    I don't even need 4-5 sentences:

Hakeem dominated inside on both sides. Mad Max single handily slows down Jordan.

No need to rehash it, pretty much everyone agreed you were in the wrong.

As an objective and data-driven person, my take is that I have no take because I think it's silly to argue over subjective things that we'll never know about as an absolute truth like you do, especially if you just accuse people of not being fans when they're making sound arguments just because they say something remotely critical of the Rockets.

He's just stupid. Ignore him. He has no business telling anyone what kind of fan they are. Furthermore, his idiotic discussions with threads such as these are so pointless, they never prove anything about anything.

    Where's the choice:

"Clutch needs to get $50 in Tipjar every time someone start a thread about this topic and CF will have a new server"?

Oh so you wouldn't tell a bulls fan that the greatest rocket of all time would carve up their team?

Oh but if I say Kobe won more mvps than your favorite player who never won an mvp it stirs up more emotion.

    Ok.

For the record, I was never crazy about T-Mac on the Rockets and thought he was overrated. I did think his three year stretch with the Magic was better than any of Kobe's three year stretches. But you probably can't fathom that with that ****ing thick skull of yours where everything HAS to be one way or the other.

Oh now I got your attention. Too bad you don't have that much emotion when someone talks about the rockets vs the bulls.
clutch said he thinks the bulls were lucky they never faced prime dream in the finals.
prime dream won that Mvp award that you hate so much

Yeah Prime Dream was awesome, obviously, the MVP has nothing to do with it. Like I said, I'm not having this dumb ****ing argument with a ****ing r****d again. Go **** yourself.

My "emotion" solely has to do with how much I hate your ****ing guts, nothing to do with the Rockets.
