In my mind, Zimmerman said TM attacked him. Physical evidence agrees. No physical evidence suggests Zimmerman attacked first.
Maybe that will cause people to think and call the Cops before they get themselves into an altercation they CAN'T and AREN'T TRAINED to handle.\
So we're back to the beginning. Physical evidence doesn't agree with Zimmerman, only that there was a confrontation. It doesn't show who started it.
I think to support the idea that Zimmerman started it you would need injuries to Martin. Without that you have Martin using deadly force without legal justification.
I get, it in your mind Zimmermans word is considered evidence. I guess that makes sense. If you ignore the fact Zimmerman has given 3 different accounts of what happened, which one do you believe.
If Zimmerman would have stayed in his car and listened to the police, there never would have been an attack.
Never heard that he changed his story, I am not ignoring it. I am not sure why you think I believe his word is gold, I just said his story matched physical evidence. Which it does.
Listen Casey, we all just keep going around in circles saying the same thing. We should all take a break from this thread and wait for the trial.
There will be a trial, TM will either be found guilty or not, let the system work it out. Neither side will convince the other side, so why bother.
While I would normally agree with that sentiment, the stories surfacing that not one, not two, not three, but four witnesses are now changing their stories leads me to believe that the real trial has already taken place in back rooms and offices with closed doors. The courtroom proceedings will just be a TV show for the huddled masses. Sorry to be such a cynic, but this has turned into a much bigger circus than usual.
I said I was done with this thread. I am, but I just had one question. How could Zim attacked Martin if he was allegedly "running" from Zim? Martin could have EASILY outran Zim. And don't say he couldn't have. For them two to get that close, it was because Martin closed the gap. No Zim's fat ass. Martin could have easily gotten away from him.
Martin didn't use deadly force. Zimmerman is alive and well (physically at least). Does Martin need to have been physically hit in order to defend himself? I don't know.
Martin stopped running because he thought he had gotten away from Zimmerman according to his girlfriend. Zimmerman knew the neighborhood and could have cut him off, the story the girlfriend gave gives this theory credence. Or Martin could have ran in a different direction from where he needed to go and was going back (He was a guest in this neighborhood) he could have gotten turned around. There are several logical ways for there paths to have crossed even if he ran from him.
From what I've picked up, I thought this is what happened: Martin decides to stop running away and confront his pursuer and asks what's his problem. Zimmerman says, what are you doing here? Fight ensues; unclear who 'throws the first punch.' Before the first punch, under Florida's messed up laws, apparently all these actions are all hunky-dory. Maybe the punching and shooting too. Now, my question. How was Zimmerman carrying his pistol? Did he have it holstered? In his waistband? What?
It takes two to tango. And while it's clear that TM struck GZ. It's also clear that GZ was chasing TM. In fact, according to Florida Laws, it was TM who acted in self defense and therefore had a right to strike GZ since he felt threatened.
