Joshua has the best singing talent voice but he has no star quality. Phillips has a unique talent and with a star quality. personally I like his style of music better than anyone. I like Colton but I think he was over confident and become cocky. Jessica is not the best talent in the competition but she is 16 and with great potential. very likable person and yes, she's pinoy like me. I didn't have plans to vote last night but Ididn't like the way judges treated her. they were grooming the 2 guys to win. the best song selection from Jimmy and judges while Jessica was given a song only to be compared to Mariah and Michael. Great job AI.
There are so many excuses for her LOL. While Phillip has serious kidney problems and is holding off surgery, Jessica has a sore throat. So tomorrow, there better be no excuses for her. I just figured out about this and I really hope that he doesn't put his life on the line for the show. Hopefully he will be fine with surgery right after the finale.
Jessica killed it the first 2 songs, but a ****ty last song selection. She should've just sang, "I will always love you again". Phillip Phillips wasn't that impressing.. He won the last round but the other 2 were not impressive.
LOL. It's funny how they build her up and than throw her right under the bus. Jimmy really like her. He has chosen 2 great songs for her for the last 2 shows. The finally song. Who wrote and compose that ****? Jimmy likes the boys if you know what I mean.
I just don't think Jessica wins on those songs she performed last night. They put me to sleep. I think she was singing a Whitney Houston song first but the last two songs...great voice or not...yawn. I just think Phillips is the better all around performer and evokes more of an emotional connection/response with the crowd. A great voice alone will not do that imo. There has to be more to it than that. I was kind of hoping to see Phillips play "Ants Marching" (or whatever it is called) by DMB at some point...rocking it on the guitar and vocals. Unless the Asian vote is like a tidal wave ala Chinese Yao fans voting for him in All-Star game, I expect Phillips to win.
I finally watched the performances, and it was my first time listening to Phillip. Phillip's first and third song were great. His second though was terrible. Jessica's were all solid.
Did she have any control over the last song she sang? I was under the impression that the song was written for her as a single to release if she were to win and that she had no say in the matter. Maybe I'm mistaken. If that's the case, I really don't like that the judges threw her under the bus for singing a boring, safe song. It was the song she was handed. With that being said, I'm actually rooting for Phillip. There's no doubt that Jessica has the better voice, but I like everything that Phillip brings to the table. I like that he plays the guitar in most of his performances. I like that he plays around with the arrangement and I think that he's the more versatile performer.
