I like the idea of going after Bynum but I think that the Lakers should have to be the ones to take on Turkoglu's contract. They coming out winning in this one. Plus if we're gonna give up Martin, Lowry and Scola then we should deal with Orlando directly. F*** the Lakers.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bodktmv Kevin Martin and 16th ...for... MarShon Brooks, Anthony Morrow, and Johan Petro Nets -D-Will, Martin, Wallace, and Lopez -then draft a power forward with the 16th or trade down for Arnett Moultrie (nice fit for this team) and pick up a pick or two (depth) -with some depth and health this is a playoff team in the east Rockets -MarShon Brooks starting scoring gaurd -Morrow and Petro soild role players -Marrow < Lee BUT still good - Lee could walk and we would be OK -Petro > Dalembert for less money
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cqfl4hn Rockets would throw in this year's picks and a 2014 pick (with minor protections). Magic get two young players, the picks, and financial relief in the form of Dalembart's contract. Rockets give Lowry to Raptors to have enough space for Howard, and replace Patterson with Ed Davis (who the Raptors want to get rid of). Keep in mind, this deal only works if BimaThug's theory holds true and that on draft day the Magic would have very little suitors for an unextended Dwight. That would put us at $42 million in salary, meaning we would: 1) have to decide whether we keep Lee or trade Martin 2) have enough to sign Williams I think the rockets would be alright with two, Deron would most likely be ready to leave Brooklyn, and while Dallas is his hometown, he'd be choosing to play with an aging Dirk over Dwight. One is interesting- Martin is not happy here, but might change his tune if he's playing with two top players. We saw him play poorly this season, but how would he fare as the number three option?? Also, how much will Lee cost, and how much would he benefit from playing with Dwight and Deron?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=csfvyfg Dalembert and Morris ...for... Okafor N.O. out from under that contract plus get a serviceable big and the hope of Morris in return. Rockets A center not the best but better than what we had (Camby is old) to play a long side Scola, Patterson, and Montiejunas
Scola/kmart/bud to lakers for gasol Lowry/dalembert/morris/ppat/#16/dal1st to miami for bosh Resign c.lee Resign dragic Resign camby Draft austin rivers(not a big fan but w/e) Sign vet pg Sign vet sf Gasol/camby/motie/g.smith Bosh/gasol/motie parsons/vet sf/c.lee C.lee/rivers Dragic/vet pg/fortson
Boringst team ever....No leaders. Two glorified #2 guys and basically the same team from last year. Gasol couldnt perform with one of the greatest all time and Bynum (a great center). What would he possibly do here. I dont wanna just make the playoffs but i wanna win in the playoffs.
Dont know what makes that boring... i watched dragic and lee and was entertained... everyone seems to love parsons... and frontcourt rotation of gasol/bosh/camby/motie seems very interesting... overall a solid team with two stars and zero superstars... Gasol-star Bosh-star parsons-solid starter C.lee-solid starter dragic-potential star Camby-role player Motie-role player with star potential Rivers-role player with star potential Whoever vets we sign-role players Sounds unboring to me and better than the pacers/knicks/hawks/76ers/celtics/utah/denver/dallas/memphis Being a top team is boring to you? I guess your a pro tanker who has loved watching the type of boring ball going on over in charlotte this year... or maybe you just love running the mediocrity treadmill we've been on lately....
Scenario if Gogi gets an offer he just can't refuse and we keep Lowry Trade morris and NY pick to Boston for 21 and 22 picks plus a future second round pick Draft D.Lamb with the 21st pick. Melo with the 22nd pick. Sullinger (I honestly don't know) with our 14th pick. Trade Martin, Ppat, Bud, and Melo for Pekovic, Johnson, Ridnour and expirings (that would be waived). Resign Lee and Camby if the contracts are reasonable. Waive Dally. Lowry/ Ridnour/ Fortson Lee/ D.Lamb Parsons/ Johnson Scola/ Donuts/ Sullinger Pekovic/ Camby/ Smith
Do you think that team could beat SA/OKC/Lakers in the west? If your answer is yes you dont watch basketball, if the answer is no then its a meaningless trade. The goal should be to from from 9th seed to 7th seed. It should be win a title. Getting a "star" just to say you have one isnt enough for me. Pau is HORRIBLE and overpaid and most of all old. Why would you want him. Why not any other big that has star potential.
Lakers yes... okc probably not but wouldnt mind playing them in second rd possibly wcf even if we lose... spurs not this year maybe next year tho sure... okc is like miami west but with depth... so just because there is one maybe two teams that seem dominant you should try to win it all? You should jus cowar and hide and wait for them to get old and.hope.theyre all of a sudden isnt a new super team? You play to win the game... i would rather try to constantly improve and compete rather than tank and lose confidance and fan support(like we have any)... crappy teams=boring... competing teams=interesting... dont know where your logic lays... Gasol is old on a large contract, scola is old and on a large contract.. gasol will be servicable (both on offense and defense) while overpaid and than turn into a massive assett as a huge expiring... bosh is still plenty young and would probably strive next to gasol and camby... gasol also gets to be a leader, mentor, and trainer for motiejunas who could than possibly turn into a gasol... id rather have two #2's and good depth and potential than a depleted roster with one superstar or a team with no vets star players but a bunch of young players with potential(wizards before they trade mcgee?)... im all for winning, maybe because im very competetive and dont like losing... nor do i like watching a crappy team... dont get me wrong ill watch no matter.what but i wont be as interested... thats for sure...
Fixed... On a side note this isnt what i want or what i woild do as a gm... jus speculation and potential trades im throwing out because it interests me... if it was up to me i wouldnt trade lowry... id try to trade all three of our picks to move up as far as possible this year... id try to resign dragic but if he left i wouldnt cry... id keep kmart only because hes a 12mill expiring... id decline dalembert and sign camby to the same structure contract at lower price...option bud...sign a fa center this year... move forwsrd with cap room... trade scola at deadline or end of next season or amnesty him... bud is off the books... camby isnt gauranteed... kmart is off the books.. options on ppat you can decline...morris as well i believe... and than i would go hard in 2013FA...
I used to be active in this thread, but looking at the last 5 pages or so, I see a lot of people who probably play 2k with trade override on.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=85kfnql It looks like a good trade to me IMO GS gets: K. Mart Dalembert HOU gets: Bogut D. Wright We get a legitimate Center and an athletic shooter at the 3. Golden State gets a Defensive Center and a traditional scorer to pair with Curry It works on ESPN Trade Machine. But the big question would be why would Golden State trade away Bogut....
Yet another Dwight trade proposal and scenario... Rockets trade- Scola, Lowry, Martin, Dally, Ppat, Morris, Bud, Hou pick, 2014 unprotected Houston pick (Not exactly sure if we can trade this pick) Get- Dwight, Hedo, Frye Magic trade- Dwight, Hedo Get- Martin (exp.contract), Gortat, Scola, Ppat, Bud (exp.contract), 2012 Hou pick, and 2014 Houston pick (unprotected) Suns trade- Gortat, Frye Get- Lowry, Dally (exp.contract), Morris Sign Lee and Camby back if the contracts are reasonable contracts. Draft D.Lamb, Ross, or J. Lamb with the NY pick. Then try to bait D-will to sign here to play with Dwight in Houston. With D-will signed, bait Dwight to sign the max bonus here. D-will/ vet Lee/ SG rookie Parsons/ Hedo Frye/ Donuts D12/ Camby Slim chance, but if the opportunity presents itself, you gotta be prepared.
If u think we could get the Suns to part with Gortat... screw D12.... I'll take Gortat for KLow (assuming Dragic can be resigned), Dally and Morris (rather it were Bud, though..). Waaaaaaaaaaaay better contract and Gortat's not a lying 2 faced douche.... so that's a plus.
I saw another rumor today says, Dwight Howard wants to be traded to the Knicks or Nets. I did this trade assuming Miami doesn't win the championship this year. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=87hbfp3 This is who each team receives: Houston Rockets: Chris Bosh & Tyson Chandler New York Knicks: Dwight Howard & Hedo Turkoglu Orlando Magic: Amare Stoudemire, Kevin Martin, #14 pick (via Houston), #16 pick (NYK pick via Houston) Miami Heat: Luis Scola & Kyle Lowry
