You can't compare finals numbers against first round numbers. The intensity is different and the quality of the opposing teams are different. I'm using season numbers because they are normalized for the most part.
You're using numbers skewed to help your "argument". Compare apples to apples, not apples to oranges. Who cares what regular season stats are? They're completely irrelevant. When the playoffs start, its a brand new season. It doesn't matter what you do in October or November, what matters is April, May, and June. You're talking about championships. Championships aren't won in the regular season, they're won in the playoffs. Everybody knows Tmac always brought it in the playoffs. So since this is Durant vs Tmac thread. The stats of the two in the playoffs is extremely relevant. As it stands, your basis for taking Durant "anyday of the week and twice on Sundays" on the grounds of efficiency and FG% is flawed and misleading.
This isn't about that. This is about what it takes to win a championship. You need the guy taking the majority of your shots to be efficient or you aren't going anywhere. Durant is more efficient than TMac, therefore Durant is better than Tmac. I'm not saying Tmac wasn't a very good player in Orlando. I'm saying a team led by Durant has a chance at a championship while a team led by Tmac doesn't. History supports my argument.

How easily people forget. T-Mac was quick as a cat and was better at creating off the bounce. His handles and vision were out of this world for a 6-8 guy. KD is a better shooter and possibly better rebounder. I'd give the slight edge to T-Mac. It's very close though.
Pierce shot 44% and 43% when the Celtics made the NBA finals. Kobe shot 45.7 and 45.8% when his team won the NBA championship lately. Tony Parker shot 48% but he doesn't really shoot 3s.
Dallas isn't exactly a lesser team. They are a championship team and they had a higher seed. How does that compare to 2006 Jazz?

We do know that McGrady doesn't like when other people handle the ball. We know that because it happened in Houston with Adelman and he complained that he wasn't getting enough touches. He didn't want to play in an offense where the ball was shared. That's a fact.
