Sally can play the witty and mean game, I bet she would reach Hakeem status in this board. I haven't found these episodes boring at all, I remain on my toes supposing they are building steam for the finale, the series' greatest strength is the subtext, which continues to be strong. It only has 4 episodes left, I don't have much to watch after this, I'll only have season 2 of Suits as a consolation prize and the Boardwalk Empire for which I have question marks.
Still an entertaining and overall awesome show but not as good as prior seasons. I want the bad ass alpha male donald draper back.....not this dude who is whipped.
I think it's a contract issue. Most of the non-stars of the show are contracted to appear in a certain number of episodes, so many of the cast members have several shows where they're not seen at all.
That's probably true. On that note, I've noticed many competitions brewing up this season. Roger vs Pete Don vs Ginsberg Megan vs Betty Oh, I love Mad men.
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna!!! What a surprise to see Paul again. Do you think Harry Crane is going to bring him back to the firm? Probably not after he did one and then some to his fellow hare krishna girl. Don Draper and Joan hanging out together at the bar, I thought... man, this series can get really good. But alas, DD kept his peepee in the drawers only to have his hot ass wife Megan waiting for him with food at home. God, this man is lucky. On a side note, how awesome would it be if DD (not fatty dakota. btw, why does he call him self dakota, are you from north/south dakota) did hook up with Joan? Imagine how Roger would feel, imagine what would happen to Sterling Cooper Dra.... ahh ****, I forget the name of the firm. Lastly, nice to see our homeboy partner Lane Pryce back conniving as ever. Dude is forging checks and looks like he has his panties in a bind, as always. I wonder how long he'll stick around this show.
I'd prefer Don and Joan not hook up. I really like the mutual respect thing they have for each other. I like that Weiner has been very picky with their alone scenes together so far in the series. They're easily the most attractive/magnetic characters on the show and it would almost be too easy for them to hook up.
I wonder if that ending means that Don is finally refocused on the agency. It's kinda like McNulty from The Wire, it seems. Focused on his work only when everything else in his life is disfunctional as hell. lol
I had absolutely no thoughts that Don and Joan were going to hook up in the bar. I think Weiner has done a magnificent job showing us the mutual respect in their relationship and that is a line they would never cross. I'm glad its that way too... I'm glad there is at least one woman in his life he wouldn't "cross that line with" however, nice touch by Don with the flowers... always a flirt.
that was sweet...The show would've got interesting with Don and Joan hooking up...Lane is flirting with disaster, wonder how it plays out...
I thought they did a great job of showing the difference between Betty and Megan. Don never respected Betty because 1) she would just not say anything or 2) be all passive aggressive. Don respects Megan because when he pulls his crap she goes all American Beauty and throws a plate of food against the wall.
Seeing Don interact with Joan reminded me that I liked him better when he was a badass philandering drunk. Does that make me a bad person?
"Not for my morale." "Surprise! There's a plane coming in!" Neh-gron, Kah-tan. Minor stuff, but still hilarious.
no. i miss that don too. i felt terrible for betty, because i liked her character, but i also loved bobbie barrett's character, and all of don's crazy sexy trysts. megan's character is nowhere near as developed as the rest of them, and yet they give her a LOT of screen time. love jessica pare (hot tub BEWBZ) but i wish they'd give megan more of a backstory. it feels like the writers are forcing us to like her before we've been given anything. really looks like they're setting up Spoiler roger to off himself...
